MORE 40K CHAOS:

New Possessed, Cultists, Accursed Cultists Mutants and Accursed Cultists Torments (who will work wonders as new Chaos Spawns), a new HQ, Dark Commune, and...

The DP really had more options, to be expected since he is compatible with both systems, but I did NOT expect this collection of heads for a specific god:

This is going to be great for us in AoS too!

Not only that, there is also a new Votann unit, the Hernkyn Pioneer, with a female Squat on top of it!:

The biggest news for today, however:

WORLD EATERS CODEX CONFIRMED!

I was wondering if they'd redo the Possessed now that they've redone all their other Chaos Marine models. I've avoided getting the new Marine kit because of its price hike and because the new aesthetic doesn't fit all that well with the older Chaos Marine plastics (probably intended to try and get players to replace their existing Chaos Marine models with the new ones so that they can keep on adding to an army that aesthetically fits well), but maybe the new Possessed wouldn't look so out-of-place because any differences in aesthetic can be attributed to mutations.

I'm glad they've finally released a Chaos Cultist kit because that's been in demand for a while, but am not so keen on the fact that they continued the 'Golden Demon Mask' aesthetic from Blackstone Fortress. I personally preferred the creepy hoods and gas masks on the Dark Vengeance Cultists:

Probably in part because most of them would also make good generic Underhive Scum or smuggler's crewmen if you cut off the Chaos spikes. I love customisability.

Pass, GW are trying the Forsaken trick again (and we know how that turned out)

Pass, though if you love Chaos Spawn then it's your lucky day

Meh, are they meant to be some sort of command group for the Cultists? Something like the Gobbapalooza? Might be worth me writing some 6th Edition rules for but again nothing that I would buy here.

That's a much better Daemon Prince head, I was aiming to get a Daemon Prince for my Chaos Marines. Like @Lord-Marcus I'll have to hope they don't raise the price tag too much (I could alternatively get the current plastic kit which is fine, but I already have so much to paint that I'd better not, have to keep some sort of control on my pile of stuff still to be built).

But there is also a Dwarf:

Grrr, Imrahil

I was not impressed by the lack of a beard until I saw on the post that that's supposed to be a female. Then I was not impressed by the fact that she didn't look particularly feminine, even for a Dwarf lass, her features look too hard and the shading they've used on the cheeks in the paint scheme doesn't help in that it makes her look as though she has stubble. Also no visibly feminine hair and no visible 'chest' all contribute to the illusion.

Agreed 110%, that model definitely looks like what the Jabberslythe should be - the long neck and head is very Jabberwocky and if there had been a second rear leg with hooves then it would make a great 'Mini-Jabber'. Indeed I would rather it had been the basis of a new Jabberslythe model (so long as they would have reneged on this idea of it bursting from a Cultist along the lines of Alien) than a weird new Chaos Spawn proxy unit for Chaos Marines, but then GW are well-known for missing opportunities as has been said before.

The biggest news for today, however:

WORLD EATERS CODEX CONFIRMED!

That was always going to be on the cards given Death Guard and Thousand Sons (two of the other 'Big Four' Chaos Legions) have Codices of their own.

To be honest I'm not a fan of the idea as a whole because these additional factions have very similar army lists to Chaos Space Marines proper (standard Chaos Marines, Cultists, Chaos Terminators, Daemon Engines) and I'd much rather see brand new Xenos factions with different backstories and biology to existing races, but then GW have been doing this since they gave specific Space Marine chapters starting in 4th Edition, so it's not surprising in the least.

and that is apparently a female squat.
eh what? Could they not have included eh, well anything that'd distinguish it as such? Or at least something more than just "it doesn't have a beard".

Or at least show it alongside several other female models, some of which are a bit more obvious. Cuz like @Bowser said, if anything this simply looks like a halfling.
