The "it burns" rule is weird (salamander unit)
"If you make 6 to hit, you deal d3 mw and thé séquence end"

If i understand, with a pack of 4 sallies if you make a single 6 to hit, you lose all the remaining hits ?

Am i right ?

With this ability, nobody will play them anymore or only on packs of 1.

No it just means that the sequence for that one attack die ends, you roll 3 6es and then dont follow up with a wound roll, just 3xD3 MW's

no you just dont roll a wound roll for that attack
 
I try to read up on everything and am constantly between YEAH happy Skink and Awwww depressed Skink :D

While waiting for the preorder, contemplating if I even should pre order, it's not easy! At least I scored two cheap Stegadons yesterday, so there's that.
 
I need a Stegadon now for skink chief. Don't think non chief is worth running now. And a lots of hunting packs. I have 6 3d printed razordons and be converting leftover skinks to handlers for them. Wanted to make chameleons, but now they are not worth it at all, imo. They should be 60 for 5, maybe 70.

Already searching to get Kroak and especially starseer.
 
yeah there are command abilities, command traits and artifacts for each sub faction (2 each: starborn dracothian/fangs and coalesced thunder lizards/koatls )

different points for starhost sunclaw vs coalesced sun claw. Starhost sunclaw = +1 rend celestial weapons. Coalesced sun claw = +1 rend bites. That’s it :(. Same unit composition for all remaining battalions

OH BABY! With Coalesced getting +1 bite attacks and Koatl giving +1 to hit on the charge each Warrior is gonna be putting out 2 4+/4+ Rend 1 attacks. That's insane! Toss in buffs from other units and that's gonna be awesome.
 
Well got to say the warscroll and all the rules and what I am hearing so far is rather underwhelming. The Basti seems incredibly poor now and not impressed by the stegadon either. I guess the reduce dmg by 1 for coalesced will help with their poor 10 wounds...

I guess my major gripes so far is easier to bulletpoint:

- Carnos did not become apex, boring poor rules, still much much weaker than a mangler squig. They are a tiny bit better only due to coalesced rules and +1 jaw attack, even though they still degrade quickly and got poor saves. Forelimbs er pointless clutter, they only pin down small things below 7 wounds? what happened to the apex... Scar vets forgot their shields.

- Stegadons, the most decent I guess, a bit more stable damage, bow is decent, flamethrowers decent, still a tiny 10 wound monster for some reason with a wonky +1 save rule. will depend on point cost entirely.

- Bastis, well I like the flat number of attacks, but a few mortal wounds will degrade these guys to hell. Hope this comes with a massive discount from the old cost.

- Skinks overall still better than saurus, although no hit and run rules for skins. Saurus warrior are boring and meh, saurus guard got their +1 wound but their damage output potential went down a lot. Saurus knights still boring and underwhelming. Saurus heroes are very plain and sort of weak offensively, just look at the scar vet on cold one, 3 attacks with 1 damage for a combat hero? WHAT?

Hunting packs... Oh boy I think I even threw out most resin handlers... thanks GW for having to get 3+ per dino with only 2 in each super expensive finecast package... thanks...

Flying stuff is now meh, that fun article about stegadons might actually be the most viable way to run this mess.

Any news about the skink bows ? :p

So if i read it right, there is an ability to make skink shoot during the enemy charge sequence... Does it apply on skink keyword orbon skink cohorte only ?

Not in this castle battletome, unfortunately. But you can easily use them as chameleon, for example.

Not much info, unfortunately, but if it affects any SKINK unit, this will be very strong.
