GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Hi all, this is literally an inifinity circuit, with a dwarven mechanical (in this case technological) veneer.

Interesting take on dwarven ancestor worship, but also shades of the "same".

They could do much better.

I mean not really. As technicaly it doesn't appear like the Votanns contain literal spirits. They're just big fancy super computers with all the knowledge of the anwsers stored in them, and since it's 40K it's become semi-sentient and developed a personality.

Essentially they just worship skynet/google/facebook as their ancestor god. Still not super different, but it's definitly not an infinity circuit which contains the literal spirits of the death.

We'll see what else they do I guess to differentiate them from regular dwarfs, as well as other 40K races (making them the usual master-smiths with fancy mastercrafted weapons doesn't really work given that literally every race has fancy technology in 40K...), so far it isn't too exciting.

Ok. I can get behind that, but at that point they seem like a derivative of admech lore.

I still like it, but I need to see how the rest of their lore plays out

The lads on the Rumour Thread have got me excited for the previews next week, because it's a distinct possibility that Beastmen are getting a new Jabberslythe model!

Which makes sense given this looks like a Beastman banner:

And this is a Beastman Brayhorn:

A plastic Jabberslythe has been long overdue. Though it looks a big model, which means it'll likely be expensive, it's still a definite upgrade over the Finecast one which is allegedly notoriously difficult to put together.

And if we're getting a Jabberslythe, we may well be getting some more stuff too!

Plastic Centigors?

Plastic Chariot Kit that can be built as a Tuskgor or Razorgor chariot?

Separate plastic Razorgor 3-model kit?

Plastic Cockatrice?

Plastic Beastlord?

New units? (Perhaps stretching it given we have quite a lot of variety for an AoS faction, but a possibility)

The one thing I hope they don't do is remake some of the existing plastic kits, because the Minotaurs look great in my view, and the Gor, Bestigor and Ungor kits are not only pretty decent but I also have some of the latter two and don't really want GW to suddenly replace them with a new aesthetic that wouldn't fit well with the ones I've got, or hike the price up on what are some of the more affordable kits currently.

But otherwise, the True Children of Chaos are about to get the recognition they deserve! :joyful:

Between this and the two Leagues of Votann banners denoting some Squat model previews, I'm certainly looking forward to this show!

At last! I've been looking to get my hands on a Jabberslythe for some time now. From what I can see from the model cutout, it looks spectacular!

Plastic chosen, and they actually look decent, holy shit.

That's very disappointing, Warriors of Chaos vs Sylvaneth doesn't fit well as a matchup, and it looks as if the former are getting several new units when they don't need any, as well as the plastic Chosen. Now all GW need to do is give Sylvaneth new units rather than just a Battletome update and they'll have let me down heavily once again, true to form.

GW had better amend this slight to the Warherds later on...

@NIGHTBRINGER may well be more interested, particularly as there's something Chaos Dwarf-related coming, likely a Warcry Warband:

Also why is Be'lakor in the new Warriors of Chaos book when he despises the whole concept of the Warriors of Chaos in the first place?
