Gladewyrms
, one of the new endless spell we will getting soon enough.

As someone over in EEFL pointed out, it looks like GW ripped of Privateer Press with this model

Maybe they're both ripping off tremors? Honestly i don't really think there's much in common. A wyrm with armour plates isn't really a novel idea or they both ripped off wizards of the coast et al. :P

Well, looks like they’ve finally caught up on their reveals. The scenery part of Forbidden Power, Dominion of Sigmar, has been officially revealed, along with the interesting news that Forbidden Power will include a new mercenary system that will allow for allies outside of Grand Alliances (Fyreslayers are specifically mentioned there @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl, so it could be your change to include them in armies you might not otherwise be able to). Other than that, there’s some new 40k stuff and another warband for Warcry. I’ll put the link to the Article below:

Always had this thought of mixing Grand Alliances, now it's a thing. Well of course need to wait on more info on it, see how the new system works

The scenery looks OK, but I don't like that Sigmar statue much. Also those pieces look pretty large so will probably be cripplingly expensive.

That certainly looks an interesting and fun new addition, not just for me (even though I'd be able to use some Fyreslayers with my Goblins or Skaven as well as my regular Dwarfs, which would be fun), but also any Seraphon player who is fed up with exclusively having to ally with Sigmarines - fancy adding some tough-as-old-boots, mortal-wound-spamming Greyfyrd Fyreslayers to boost your melee potential chaps?

And onto this new warband:

To be honest I do actually prefer these to the other warband - they've got a lot more of the traditional Chaos Marauder feel and also work with the new Darkoath characters. Also anyone with some spare Savage Orc bitz will have a field day mixing and matching them with the weapons that come from these chaps. Fancy adding any of these to your Chaos Marauder horde @NIGHTBRINGER? ;)

Other than that, nothing else to get excited about. More Imperium vs Chaos cr@p for 40K (AdMech update and Renegade Knights - as if Imperial Knights weren't already wildly breaking the game, instead of trying to fix the mess by limiting them to Apocalypse only, GW decide to make some for Chaos too), and no Battletome previews yet (I know Sylvaneth are essentially confirmed, but I want to see if GW have any plans for a bigger faction release on the lines of Slaanesh like Dispossessed or Gutbusters anytime soon). However, there is always the dreadfully-named Warhammer Fest with another preview next week, so they're probably saving the Battletome previews for that.

I have hopes that it's not limited, maybe something like the allies that you can put so many points towards a different alliance, but then having those limits... I'm not keen on them, can't we just mix without the 'up to' points? It's just the waiting game now.
Then I've seen a few complaints about it being terrible to fluff, I don't know about those complaints, I can easily see many factions joining others for good reasons. If the reason if written right.
Like my Chaq'Kai, they are always known to be a opportunistic type. They will join a few here and there to gain advantage of what they want.

Well, you do have to have the majority of your army being the same as your allegiance ability otherwise it gets stupid - I think GW should have just swapped the points limit for allies with the number of units limit when Second Edition came round, rather than adding the number of units limit on top of what was already there (in fact that approach arguably makes it worse rather than better).

I disagree heavily about those complaints - whoever made those obviously conveniently forgot or never read the piece of first edition lore about some Fyreslayers fighting for Chaos in exchange for Ur-Gold in the Fyreslayers' first battletome. This actually caused a bit of controversy when the Fyreslayers first came out as everyone kept thinking that they would be able to ally with everyone rather than just every Order faction. This new mercenaries mechanic will actually allow this sort of fluff to come to fruition, and resonates nicely with the old Triumph and Treachery expansion for Warhammer Fantasy, where Dark Elves could take Lizardmen mercenaries (as seen in the White Dwarf batrep for the month it came out)) and vice versa.

Furthermore, it's looking likely that GW are going to select only those specific groups of specific factions that actually make sense as mercenaries lore wise, as they specifically referred to Greyfyrd Fyreslayers, who are the most mercenary Fyreslayers of the lot - as long as they do this sort of thing that would make a lot of sense and shouldn't ruin fluff at all. I can certainly imagine factions like Khorne mortals, Night Goblins, Orcs, Gutbuster Ogres and Skaven hiring themselves out to the highest bidder (only to stab them in the back later), while others like Daemons of all stripes, Sigmarines, LoN, Nighthaunt and the mortal followers of the more selfish and (slightly) less violent Chaos gods (Slaanesh and Tzeentch in particular) being far less keen, either because a mercenary life acts against the aims of the higher cause they serve or because they're just too honourable, cowardly or unintelligent.

I assume the ruins will be similarly priced to the 40k stuff so maybe just start with a smaller temple and expand your sprawling complex over time if that's the way you want to go :). There should be some smaller and larger ruin kits if history repeats. Positivity everyone! Motivation and positivity!

They do look pretty good, and would make for fine Marauder stand ins. Unfortunately (fortunately?), my Marauder horde is now complete. I just finished my second Marauder unit filler so I have one giant unit of 50 and a second smaller unit of 14 + Wulfrik. Plus, truth be told, game wise I very much prefer to field actual Chaos Warriors of Marauders.
