What are you doing today hobbywise?

Interesting that you should ask.

I started her on Masters of Stone and Steel… :)

Was thinking on ordering some Hive Guard/Tyrant Guard but turns out they are not a thing at the moment. I get told to just go get a proxy version but being that I changed plans to work on my backlog and work on Tyranids this year for AoP so a 3rd part lookalike won't work out well. I have plenty of spares so might have to go that route.
About 80 Hormas and Termas in total to prime and paint though :artist: Need to recount cause my old notes could be out of date. Got some old Biovores along with the recent version so it will be fun as my local GW allow old Citadel in the mix.

They should... Citadel miniatures ARE GW miniatures, just from an older era...

Seriously, I've been resisting the urge to do a bunch of weird conversions to make my own, up to and including mounting Fireforge Mongols on giant wolves...

Sounds cool!

I second that, given Fireforge models are likely going to be slightly shorter than GW humans I can see them being suitable as Hobgoblins, and their Mongol Cavalry kit gives you some rider legs and torsos to work with straight out of the box. You could also use the Steppe Infantry kit as Hobgoblin Cutthroats (I've already advocated their use as proxy Lake-Town Militia for the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle game - I simply love the variety and interchangeability of plastic kits around nowadays!)

I take it you're going to be using GW's Fenrisian Wolves that everyone loves to kitbash?

Yep, I noticed when I took part a few years back, one entry was a board filled with Epic wargame tanks. Feels like a great way of showing the past history of miniatures, including games that don't get touched upon now like the Epic 40K.
Will be fun pulling out the Biovores again cause the size difference.

That was the idea, yes. Not a lot of sources for wolves in the right size that cost less than those, anyway.
