I don't, partially because I can't get myself to care overly much about my guys in a game like this :p Prefer fire emblem where characters are given (some semblance of) a personality.

I make the characters look like and name them after friends. they provide plenty of personality lol

meh that never really works for me, especially not when it's a realisitic-ish artstyle. It's too clearly not them so I can't care :p

Orruk ardboy, 40k ork, dark Eldar, slannesh what the hell ever, maybe khornite reavers, possibly slaves to darkness, or a bold claim. New commisar yarrik with a regrown hand

I'd go for either an ork/orruk or maybe a necromunda ganger. The other factions seem to prefer more modern weaponry.

Slaves to darkness could work technologically, but they don't have any comparable weapons so that seems unlikely.
 
Nothing Ork related. Hand doesn't fit, fingers are too slim in relation to their length.
Industial angular design and evenly spread "notches" = not AoS.
Yarrik with regrown hand would be funny, but the weapon is too small and not orky enough.

I second Necromunda ganger.
 
A "reprint" is a nice idea.
But of course they had to be marines.
