Not an OBR list expert.@LizardWizard ok well I feel bad, but if you have nothing else to do what would you recommend for 500 point OBR list? Sorry for so many requests lol just have alot more potential to play games with TTS.
Absolutely!
The hobby is about having fun. The most enjoyable games I have had of AoS were when both myself and my opponent were having a blast. Some were round five of tournaments to decide first place at a GT and some were playing with a 9yo kid who just got into the hobby.
Make sure you and your opponent have similar expectations of the game. The reason I make causal list as well as tournament list is for this very purpose. It is also fair to expect both yourself and your opponent to be gracious when winning or losing. Nothing sucks the fun out of a victory like a sour opponent. I try to always be mindful of that when on the back foot.
A bit of hard learned advice. If you have an opponent who is either an ungracious victor or loser then wait a day or two. Bring up how their attitude during the previous game impacted your enjoyment. Ask them to be mindful of your feelings in future games. If they get defensive or are generally unperceptive them just don't play them when possible. Definitely don't bring up their behavior in the moment![]()
It is to prevent enemy units from retreating. Specially from the Pink Horrors that the Gaunt Summon will add for free.Hey @LizardWizard how do the Chaos Maurauders count as battleline? Are Chaos Marauders allies? Also why Host Duplicitous for first build?
Edit:Chaos Marauder question Answered
Though I don't see much reason to play Host Duplicitous, is there something in missing?
Ahhh ok. Thanks! It is to prevent enemy units from retreating. Specially from the Pink Horrors that the Gaunt Summon will add for free.
You could also run it as Summoners Guild. Not sure how likely you are to make it 8 FP before the end of game though.
Hey @LizardWizard did two 500 point games on Tabletop Simulator lately. One with @TheCrazyKhorneGuy and one with @LordBaconBane . This was my list I used and won both times.
Allegiance: Seraphon
- Constellation: Koatl's Claw
Leaders
Saurus Sunblood (130)
- General
- Command Trait: Dominant Predator
- Artefact: Eviscerating Blade
Battleline
5 x Saurus Knights (100)
- Spears
10 x Saurus Warriors (90)
- Clubs
Units
4 x Salamander Hunting Pack (80)
4 x Salamander Hunting Pack (80)
Total: 480 / 500
Extra Command Points: 0
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 39
Any possible improvements? Or tactics with it. Also what list would you recommend at 500 points.
Feels worth the trouble. It is annoying to keep models upright. Still messing around with settings. It will be better once I figure out how to lock models orientationHow have you been liking TTS? I just purchased it the other day but have yet to really dive in and try to figure anything out. Wondering if its worth the trouble or not...
It's totally worth it IMHO. A little annoying sometimes but it's worth it. Couple tips for it. Firstly I recommend using both a physical ruler and virtual one. Physical is nice to set up for movement but using Tab to use virtual is better at measuring for spells etc. Secondly, use bags to make your list. Get a mod with the models, open it in single player, go to objects - Tools - spawn the bag. Then drag every model into it and right click (or hit T) then save model. Then when you join a friend's game, or even host your own, you just go to Objects -Saved, then drag it on and drag out if the bag to remove things. Additionally, another key part of this is with Quarantine, who knows when things will open up, could be up to a year and a half. How have you been liking TTS? Will do@LizardWizard
I have completed my seraphon overview with a post dedicated to powerful builds and efficient combo.
If you find something strong or some nasty trick which would be worth a mention, let me know.![]()
I am gonna have to check the wording on Spell in a Bottle when I get home. KO might be able to bring Bound Endless Spells![]()
Very true. It makes bringing a bound spell pointless. It is even helpful to a Seraphon opponent. LOLPretty sure they can, but after the first turn it becomes a static and unmoving/inactive spell... Nowhere on the scrolls does it say the caster becomes the ‘owner’. The ability to move Bound spells is part of being Seraphon.
However the spell in a bottle says it ignores the normal restrictions. Shouldn't that mean it ignores the rule that says a Seraphon player can move it?Very true. It makes bringing a bound spell pointless. It is even helpful to a Seraphon opponent. LOL
Nope, it would just be bound. bound is outside the effects of spell in a bottle. However the spell in a bottle says it ignores the normal restrictions. Shouldn't that mean it ignores the rule that says a Seraphon player can move it?
So if we use spell in a bottle on a bound spell what happens to it? Can we not move it after setup?Nope, it would just be bound. bound is outside the effects of spell in a bottle.
