AoS Are Ossiarchs any good? (Practice not theory)

Ossiarch bonereapers have been out for a little whole but there are almost no battle reporter online (Not even with just unpainted models). In the ones that I could find, they did not seem strong.
Did anyone see them in practice yet?

to erly to say yet people are still buying and painting models we should know more in about 2-3 weeks. at the moment they seem very strong in melee but slow so they have the potenshal to hold the same rank as fyre slayers so very good

that's what i thought but im still to new at this to make that call.

Ossiarchs do look scary, but we should be able to deal with them in some form or another. After looking at their warscrolls and the army lists they suggested it does appear that they are very deadly. so to kill them we will likely have to use shooting or Ripperdactyl drops to kill support.

razordons do not currently have the punch to eat thru bone reapers i did the math in another thread and you kill about 4-5 of mortec guard with 12 in ideal conditions. ripers are even worce as they have no rend our best bet for fighting OBR is teleportation and skinks weeeeeeeeee (sigh)

well lets look at those 12 salamanders have 12 shots (sigh) they hit on 3s re-rolling becous astrolith and wound on 3s no rerols you can't fit 12 in a TQ. so thats 10.66 hits and 7ish wounds rend 2 so the guard get a 5+ save leaving 4.666 hit's an avrage of 16.33 damage 6+ after save 13.5 4+ harvester save so about 7 dead so they do much better but still bad it would take all 5 rounds to kill 40. mortek are just the tankiest unit in the game right now not much we can do.

I came out of combat with them. 40 saurus warriors with rerolls did nothing. Man those things are terrifying

Good thinking, the problem is they keep resurrecting themselves. Maybe make out support then kill the guard?

the harvester is a big fragile boy with no acses to look out sir just kill it and our good that sead the only units that we have that can do so is the wizards bastiladon and stegadon

Sounds like a plan. I also noticed that the harvesters are really slow, so some Ripperdactyls or saurus knights could get in and kill it fairly quickly

only if your opponent is dumb enough to let you they move the same as the escorts and they don't attack so they can just run to get in position

We have a player putting together an ossiarchs army at my LGS. I will see if he is ready for a few games tonight. this player is decently good, travels to some of the larger events (went to virginia, dc and NY events in the last year each with over 50 players registered) and come out in the top half every time (4-1, 3-2, 5-1 was the record he reported) so he should be able to use them decently.
