Salemanders like volume of fire, you'l kill a couple but you're not going to kill them quick enough to achieve much.So I have been doing lots of thinking on this and we do have a few ways to deal with them
if you want to kill them, salamanders are the way to go. They offer the perfect solution for heavy armor as they offer good mortal wounds and heavy rend.
Saurus knights arguably are a better screen as they last longer and in firelance can put out some hurt
stellar tempest on a unit of Mortek guard is lethal.
Also the idea of a Kroak nado probably is a decent one with all the mortal wounds
so we aren’t completely out of the running but it is not an easy match up
On average it's still going to take you at least 2 salamanders to get a single hit in, and that's ignoring the fact that they still have a save.Well with salamanders getting reroll hits on 3+ 3+ chances of dealing d6 damage is good. Especially with the high rend and mortal wound chance salamanders could be a decent option to killing ossiarchs

So basically what your saying is don’t play against them. I also think +1 to saves is a hard counter to everybodybeen playing obr a lot lately. Here is my thoughts.
OBR is a hard counter to slaneesh so until it completely hates slaneesh out of the the tournament scene I do not for see GW doing anything about its rules. This being the case I recommend exploiting their slow movement speed. kill their heroes like any other death army to limit their buffs and screen with endless spells and skinks to slow their movement. Do not bother killing anything else if you can avoid it. Fighting OBR with lizards is a mistake.
Stay on objectives and hold as long as you can. Keep slann and important solos out of los of shooting and keep them away from their 1 per game insta death abilities
