On a similar airbrush-related note, here's the work I've put in so far on my most recently completed Salamanders models, plus BF30k fleet.

Still have to finish with the Moot Green on the frigates before moving on to White Scar zenithal highlight and overcasting everything with Waywatcher Green, but that'll have to wait for another time in the near future.

Giving them an ashen tone? Chaos Black, drybrushed Mechanicus Standard Grey, washed down with Nuln Oil. For further Darkiron Brethren vibes, give 'em red eyes as well for good measure.

Withered, yellowy flesh tinted with sulphur and the other toxic chemicals the Chaos Dwarfs play with in their factories, a la Episode VI Palpatine? A 50:50 mix of a bone colour and a pale yellow, with a Seraphim Sepia wash, would do it.

Finished priming all 64 Termagants and 40 Hormagaunts, onto the Gargoyles next... or maybe work on some bigger unit to prime, that amount of bugs take up about half a 2'x2' board. Might clean up the Tervigon next so it's ready to prime.
One thing is that GW keep removing the scenery I hope to buy, come on, making a tomb/egyptian themed Tyranid army. Might have to scratch build a bit and rely on smaller scenery sets to bring it together. Problem when I can't afford now but head back later and it's gone :argh: ebay could be a choice but people wanting more than the retail cause OOP.
Need some raised areas so bigger units can sit on top and smaller ones can hide underneath.

Edit: But then with the amount of models there are, is scenery even necessary :joyful:
 
Finally got this month's build league deadline met. Amusingly, it was mostly just weapons that I needed to work on.

In other news, I also recently received my next 1000pts of ships for my Battlefleet Heresy Salamanders.

A Desolator Battleship (missing two of the lance turrets on the port side), a Dagon Grand Cruiser, and a Dictator Cruiser-Carrier. I still need to build my 3rd Lunar Cruiser, and then paint all of them plus the 6 frigates I also got in the bundle.
