What are you doing today hobbywise?

First day back "working" with a newfound plan of attack going forward. I feel better than i have since last sunday when the bad week started.

i'm planning on working on a sculpting brief for wargames atlantic later this evening. maybe with some building or painting in addition.

Up into the wee hours of the morning, and I finally got these two done up for a slow-build AT escalation campaign.

I'll eventually get around to doing transfers to make them fit more the part of Legio Astorum.

Another first, this time using a texture acrylic of some kind (specifically AK's Desert Sand).

I picked up some secondhand MESBG models this morning at the sellers house. He kindly invited me in and he ended up showing me his range of models, scenery and gametable :wideyed: (he had two rooms: one for the game table and one for his workbench, cabinets and storage)
Pleasant surprise and really cool and nice of him to show me.

Some of the models I bought are now in a paint-stripper bath

Grrr, Imrahil

Finished magnetizing the bases of my Fireborn.

As soon as it's not raining when I get home, I'm going to undercoat them and start the attempted painting...

Also started dry-fitting my Chaos Dwarf Bull Centaurs.

Are you going to get them if they bring out models for TOW?

I believe the answer to that is "Is water wet?"

But then, I know warden loves bretonnia.

Or "Do Grail Knights revere the Lady?" ;)

I know he does. Was hoping to hear his views on TOW.

To be honest, I would think @Warden's response depends on the following:
  1. Whether the TOW Bretonnian models are entirely Forge World or if the main kits are to be GW plastic, supplemented by some big FW character models
  2. 63cpv0.jpg

Good questions!

The idea of Bretonnia coming back into the fold is fantastic, and I might consider purchasing a character or two, but I agree it may be a bit too expensive for me at this rate. Who knows at this point how far off a new edition of WHF/TOW really is?

Purchasing a Green Knight was something I never did, would love to get the old model someday, or possibly get a similiar 3D printed version.

It would give me an excuse to finish painting those few Bretonnians I haven't painted yet though!

Strange women laying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system government. :p

Agreed :D

Nice, any pics?

(Of the models I mean, not the stripper bath ;))
I wouldn't mind some pics of a stripper doing a bath.
no, wait...
Lustria Online just added a new subforum: "Turn your cold-blood hot..." X-rated
For Oldbloods of 18 years and up only :p

Hahahaha LOL :hilarious::hilarious:
Sorry for my poor choice of words :D

But here is a picture with them all brushed and dried up

(Whilst blushing I clipped off the sword of Aragorn, but that might be restorable)

No need to apologise, it's us with our immature minds who need to apologise :p

Not really, it's great to have a laugh sometimes over something as simple as a poor choice of words (after all that's probably where the 'That's what she said' joke originated), rather that than be miserable all day and not see the funny side of anything

Great finds, particularly the metal Saruman - no need to buy the £20 plastic one now...

The Aragorn looks like the plastic one from the Mines of Moria boxed game, it's certainly possible to glue the sword back on, but you'll need to store him carefully to make sure it doesn't snap again

Was thinking on ordering some Hive Guard/Tyrant Guard but turns out they are not a thing at the moment. I get told to just go get a proxy version but being that I changed plans to work on my backlog and work on Tyranids this year for AoP so a 3rd part lookalike won't work out well. I have plenty of spares so might have to go that route.
About 80 Hormas and Termas in total to prime and paint though :artist: Need to recount cause my old notes could be out of date. Got some old Biovores along with the recent version so it will be fun as my local GW allow old Citadel in the mix.

I got myself a white painting light as I keep ending up doing my painting late at night, but the light isn't good enough.

Hopefully this will help inspire me to finish painting my K'Daai Fireborn.
