What are you doing today hobbywise?

Trying to hash out a new colour scheme on some scrap skink bits, then hopefully applying said colour scheme to a skink chief (counts as starpriest).

Finding a color scheme for the cold ones. The one that look like from Toy Story didn't fit...
Proceeding to assemble a second one.

finally i was able to pick up my order at the store(has been sitting there for almost three months )
and as usual once in a GW you always pick up something else ;)

so bought some greenstuff and a Ironjawz Megaboss

now it's time to read the General's Handbook 2019:cool:

Went to my local GW to pick up some spray and another kit, I wasn't sure what to go with. I ended up going with another Lord of Change in the end, I was also suggested a Tzeentch SC but didn't pick one up. Now that I have two LoC I will be tweaking the board layout a bit. The kit was built last night so I will be spraying this morning and working on those Modroc trees.

Did some highlights on the Backscales of the Scar-Veteran Rider of the Carnosaur.

And Read some pages of the handbook, liked what i saw. Army generator was something i was working out for my own type of campaign. So thats a lot of help

Slapped together some 40 clanrats with rusty spears for a game today. On my way there, I'm taking a detour to my local GW to pick up the new Kayvaan Shrike primaris model I pre-ordered a while back as the last part of an order that included some Aeronautica Imperialis kits.

UPDATE: So I lost the AoS game against an Ironjawz army due to a number of factors. For reference, the scenario was Starstrike from the GHB, fought in Ghyran with Fecund Quagmire in effect.

This was the list I brought with me, as done up in BattleScribe:

My ultimate downfall was having my objective show up in my deployment zone on the side that my opponent had already cleared of my army's presence. Try as I might, I wouldn't have been able to squeak out a victory from the jaws of defeat past the 2nd round, as by then my army was already down to most of my heroes (one deathmaster met an untimely end at the hands of a brute champion before he could do anything), a slightly diminished clanrat horde (the other clanrat horde was wiped out to a rat by 'ard boyz, a mawcrusha, and brutes, and the stormvermin lost too many of their own to succeed a battleshock test), and three stormfiends that I kept forgetting to do reserve rolls for.

Areas of improvement include relying a lot less on endless spells (I had sunk 180 points into all three of the Skaven-specific ones), working towards building up to have at least one warscroll battalion (likely the Clawhorde, since I do have the models for it), dropping the verminlord, changing out the arch-warlock with a warlock bombardier, and getting at least a minimum-sized unit of warplock jezzails. I may be obliged to drop the stormfiends as well.

Going to batch paint 12 horses for French dragoons tonight, or at least make a start

With the new Orruk book coming out it makes me think of doing that mix of the models, Maw-Krushas with Bonesplitter units. Already got a Maw-Krusha sitting about not the rider but I think I have a spare Orruk about.
But then Bonereapers...

Another duty watch, another Warlord Titan built for Adeptus Titanicus. I even had a little fun with one of the heat guns we have onboard.

I'll be magnetizing the model as soon as I get home after a little sailing.

After a successful crisis management after "the worst wash ever" that lead me to repaint almost a half of a mini the test cold one is getting into shape. Cold ones are good subjects to train wet blending on as well. The blog expects an update tomorrow ;)

What's the ship/boat you are sailing on? :)

I would call it cruising, rather than sailing :)
No matter how many newfangled toys it gets, the Navy still likes to pretend that it's 1799.

Anyway, I just spent the better part of this past evening kitbashing together some warplock jezzails using stormvermin and skitarii ranger parts. Because I felt so inclined to give them an Eshin look, I even went the extra mile to make ghillie fur-suits for them out of cheesecloth.

And they finally saw their first game in a battle of the hordes against Gloomspite Gits. Supported by a warlock-bombardier, they took down a loonboss on mangler squig, easily earning both units' points worth, before getting pounced on by squig riders.
