What are you doing today hobbywise?

Sooooo I just purchased Wrath and Rapture. What started out as a plan to pick up some flesh hounds to convert into razordons turned into collecting HoS as my #2 army. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else? My lizard backlog is huuuuuuge already. Send help!

Yes:oops:

I yielded! after roaming around the web eyeballing all Sylvaneth boxes. I found a Startersbox Sylvaneth for a good price.
Knowing that the Looncurse fraction of Sylvaneth will be found on ebay verry soon ;)

So the pile of unopened boxes grows taller :angelic:

Got my whole Saurus Warriors unit up to 90% done.

Thats how they get you, tempting boxed sets with deliscious deals on minis, but what if you don't split them with a friend.... what if you keep precious all to yourself....

for an incoming 40k maelstrom tournament, i'm going to play a couple of test matches (this evening and tomorrow), with a 2000 pts AdMech "melee" list.

opponents:
Ultramarines with Guilliman
mix Blood Angels / Imperial Guards, with an IK crusader

On Tuesday, I finally finished building the quad-lascannon side sponsons for my fellglaive, having to use a couple of hot water baths to warp some power conduit pieces sufficiently enough for placement (as an electrician, the irony is not lost on me). I also almost finished building the rapier platforms save for some control consoles, which I added the following evening.

Due to being nearly out of super glue, I was only able to get one rapier crew built before calling it quits, instead focusing on getting as many of the vehicles in my Salamanders army primed and pre-shaded for a full day of airbrushing closer towards the weekend. As of this post, I still need to make filler track segments for my land raider proteus out of plasticard as well.

All of this is concurrent to me preparing for a busy 2-week sail that starts next week.
Finished building the rest of the rapier crews and started airbrushing the entire army. I was also quite pleased with having a few web order items show up at the local GW - Another model of Vulkan He'stan that will be converted into Chapter Master Tu'shan, a Night Lords upgrade pack for a future project involving that legion, and some Space Marine jetpacks that will be used for thrusters on the taurus venator I converted from an Achilles ridgerunner.

Going to build some Bat Swarms and Fell bats later on, going to decorate the bases for the Bat Swarms. Hopefully it will blend the rods in a bit. Maybe.

I primed a model.
Then I noticed how motivated I was. So I base coated some parts of it.
Then I cleaned up cat barf from the floor.
I noticed that I was still motivated to paint, so I shaded and highlighted some parts.
And I like how they look. Progress pics in my blog soon. :)

I have started a new job just about two weeks ago, have my parents coming into town this weekend, and am moving the weekend after that. As a result, my hobby time has taken a hit. Nevertheless, I recently purchased the Khorne vs. Slaanesh box as I wanted Slaanesh as my second army (That Keeper of Secrets model is GORGEOUS, and I love mobile armies.) and fleshhounds for razordon conversions.

Since then, I have built most of the box, primed some demon ladies, and painted one of them. I have been trying to base coat even just one daemonette a night so I don't stop painting all together. It's definitely tough sledding though, as I am getting home exhausted most nights. Do yall have tips for staying motivated and painting even when life is crazy busy? I will post new pics of my work in my paint blog soon, but not until I have made significant progress beyond some simple base coating XD

Got back to modeling and painting after a couple of months of hiatus.
Stripped an old metal carnosaur.
I have many models to base properly but really don't feel like doing it.

Brought some Necrons today, going to be doing what I have planned for them, replacing with the beast skulls and doing some cracked textures with the basing paint. Not sure whether I should make alterations for the legs.

Painted the shafts of the spears, the leather and the feathers of my Saurus Warriors unit. So All that is left are the bases :)

Got Mollog's mob!
Plan to paint the big guy and little wierdos soon.
Do you really assemble these models without gluing?
I think I'll still use some plastic glue

Then I cleaned up cat barf from the floor.

I'm not sure if we really needed to know that, but never mind ;)
