What are you doing today hobbywise?

I won a prize in an Instagram giveaway
the prize being a commission on terrain by my choice. So I am expecting a package with hills/cliffs anywhere next month :):)

Grrr, Imrahil

Congrats!

Lucky thing, post a pic (or ten ;)) when your new fully-painted scenery arrives in the post!

I painted up two Ghost Archipelago crewmen last night, the last two from the box I split with my nephew.

Binging on my Salamanders Infantry for Horus Heresy during a duty watch. Thus far I've pretty much finished one tactical squad, and have gotten started on another.

Characters notwithstanding, I still have four more squads left after these ones: a Seeker Squad, a Pyroclast Squad, a Heavy Support Squad, and a Command Squad.

Did you do so in a workshop?
Eh, the closest thing I have to one at least. LOL
That is such a gorgeous model.

Oh, indeed. Funny thing is that I only bought Grimbeorn for the bear. Good thing that was all I was after too, since the kit I got in the blister lacked the sprue I would need for his human form's left arm and bow, and the axe head had broken off during transit.

Good job Forge World!

When will GW realise that making all new, obscure, non-Lord of the Rings Trilogy Middle Earth stuff in Forge World Resin was a terrible idea?

I wouldn't say the issue is specifically the Forge World resin, but I will definitely say that the blister that Grimbeorn comes in isn't padded, which likely led to the damages in transit.

This has also thus far been the second time I've received a Forge World kit that was missing a vital sprue to complete the model - my first was a Van Saar Arachni-Rig for Necromunda, which was missing the operator's legs. To their credit, Forgeworld has really good customer service, and I was able to get a complete second Arachni-Rig at no additional cost, but at the same time it was a fix that shouldn't have been needed in the first place.

Waiting for some Stormvermin I ordered for a conversion, while contemplating Orktober and a double-set of secondhand, damaged, Mangler Squigs that are currently sitting on my desktop...
