What are you doing today hobbywise?

Um... trying to muster the energy to paint my Marienburg minis for The Great Weave's new Rhondol campaign... but spending most of my time cataloguing and re-assembling my Orcs and Goblins army for The Old World, which isn't actually out yet...

Well I was going to be painting bavarians later this evening.

Apparently 68% humidity is still too high despite being within the accepted range of this primers tolerances.

My bavarians ended up with granulation and they have found themselves in paint stripping solution for an overnight bath.

Seeing as I was denied my painting experience this evening I will either be building more bavarians or painting some commission items.

CSM - Creations of Bile.

Raptors fly and strike from above, but...
dorsal reactors is the past.
Implanted wings are the future.

Nice classic Chaos Marines there (though shame on you for sticking them on heretical 32mm bases ;)), and I see you've pinched a kitbash top from the equally classic 4th-5th Ed Codex! Which kit did you get the wings from?

Didn't get any more done on minis over the weekend after finishing the dark elves last week, but I started running Rise of the Runelords for my group yesterday. It went well and they had fun, which is the most important thing.

Finally got my plastic Deimos-Pattern Predator kit in the mail today. As I'm doing my best to get ready for a gaming event in less than a month from now, I immediately got to stripping the predator-exclusive parts I needed (sponson side panels, turret ring, turret, and sponsons) to part-swap a partially-built Deimos-Pattern Rhino chassis I had available. Whilst I'm prioritizing an annihilator build (twin lascannon turret) for the event, I magnetized the turret weapon specifically for other weapon loadouts, and left the back ramp unglued for storage options.

I remember a long while back discussing how much I loved putting together a primaris repulsor hull, and the new plastic Deimos-Pattern kits are roughly on par with that - a rare improvement over the regular (Mars-Pattern) equivalents at the moment in terms of model quality.

Any pics of your growing Warherd? :snaphappy:

Noooooot yet? It is going to be a bit. I am a big fan of buying secondhand stuff to keep it from being thrown out, so I've got a pile of metal minis in the paint stripper at the moment. Maybe by next week though? Have to see how well the paint comes off of these old 80's (or maybe 90's? Hard to find an accurate listing timeline) sculpts I picked up. :D
