Warhammer Meme thread

It hasn't been the resounding success that GW hoped for yet. Most people who play 30k are hobby veterans who wanted something better than whatever the fuck vanilla 40k started to become as far back as 6th Ed, and as proper grognards who know the ins and outs of tabletop gaming (most of the time) they are exceptionally vocal about what they think is good and bad for the game as it develops.

Hey, 6th 40K was fine... it was 7th Edition that was the beginning of the end when they introduced the BS that is Lords of War and started bringing Primarchs back, as well as allowing the balance to become a particular trainwreck :shifty:

They especially don't like having the toys they paid to use taken away from them.

That's why, following a lot of backlash over units and wargear options being cut from the army books before launch, GW more than doubled the number of unit entries in the upcoming Legacies PDF as a sloppy corporate apology. As a lot of 30k players will jab at GW: "Don't fuck with our game!"

To be honest they've become pretty expert at that over the years :p (except for TOW which has been improved significantly with the latest FAQ... though I certainly hope they don't start thinking of a NeW eDItiOn for a long time, judging by what they're trying to do with this new Horus Heresy - but then if they do try the similar garbage with TOW I'll just stick with this current Edition).

You also have to remember that many of the first Horus Heresy players are legacy CSM players who got a lacklustre codex in 6th and jumped ship when they realized that HH did them better justice.

Bah, the 6th Chaos Marine Codex was fine... it was the Tau and Eldar ones that weren't and set the power bar so high that CSM players think they were cheated by GW... when it was the TauDar players that were given a cheat code to the game.
