To be fair, the Primaris line of models do look significantly better than the aging SM line.

Still a cheap knockoff designed to rake in the £££s, no matter how much of a subjective improvement it may be. Just like AoS cannot get away from its Warhammer Fantasy heritage, the Primaris Marines will never have the history that the classic Space Marines will always bask in.

Everything GW does is designed to rake in the money. I don't view it as a knockoff, but rather as an update. Would you have felt differently if the newly proportioned models were released as updated Space Marines instead of "Primaris"? Obviously GW released them as something else so that existing SM models couldn't be used. It was a very sound business move, but I would agree with you if you felt it to be somewhat of a dirty tactic.

We're really blurring the line here between subjective and objective. Yes, the aesthetic evaluation of a model is subjective, but if 99.9% of people subjectively determine that Primaris look better, then it is fairly safe to say that they are objectively better looking (even though there will be a very small number of people who feel otherwise).

There's not much to look at when PRYMAHRUS MUHREENS try to crib everything that makes Horus Heresy era marines great, down to squads equipped entirely with one type of weapon.

In short:
