8th Ed. The Ultimate Beastmen Thread

Not innately in his profile, but the Wild Herd Army of Infamy list allows you to field 1 unit of Centigors per Centigor Chieftain character (including Ghorros) as part of your Core allowance.

Centigors are better in TOW than they used to be too, the Drunken table is much less detrimental and Ghorros allows nearby Centigor units to re-roll the results they get for it. Additionally Ghorros allows you to upgrade one unit of them to have +1 Ld, +1 WS and Armour Bane (1) - an additional -1 penalty to enemies' armour save on 6s to Wound - for +2 points per model.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS... :joyful: I bought some secondhand Bestigors off of ebay - gonna chop them up and convert me some great-weapon Centigors with them! Wish me luck!

As mentioned in https://lustria-online.com/threads/what-are-you-doing-today-hobbywise.20843/page-237#post-492425 , I'm working on another unit of Centigor conversions, using similar components to my first conversions... only this time, with Great Weapons:

I need to work on my chainmail sculpting abilities - maybe use a pin instead of a toothpick  Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?

Really great idea. Nice build.
Might the end of a paperclip do the trick?

Grrr, !mrahil

Looking excellent, my fellow Beastlords!

Now that the Cloven Ones are out in force with their Arcane Journal I'm also working on getting my army together... picked up something from an aquarium shop recently that will make a very nice addition to the herd...

About the new Bray Shaman, does it fit well on a 25mm base?

Indeed it does - it was originally sculpted in the 8th Edition era to fit on a 25mm base.

Here's an example of my own rendition of that model to demonstrate:

Unless you mean Kralmaw? He was designed to fit on a 30mm base, which is his official base size for TOW anyway (his familiar is on a 25mm base for comparison):

Meh, I wouldn't say that he wouldn't fit on a 25mm base - I think his hooves would both just about manage to fit on one, simply that other parts of him would be more likely to hang over the base and make it more difficult for him to rank up. But it would be possible if you really like his model.

Though my question is - why don't you simply use him as he is on his 30mm base? Unless you intend to use him in an earlier Edition of the game as a generic Shaman for some reason...
