My question is how are you able to monetarily afford 3 dread saurian? That’s worth about as much as most of the armies I run

The better question is why don’t you own a Dread Saurian being ridden by a Carnasaur, who is being ridden by an Old Blood.

Like a Turducken, but Dreacarnlood

I bought 1 a year for the past 3 years. Putting away a little bit for minis and splurging when I get my tax return so usually I use 100 out of my tax return plus what I put away to buy a fuckload of minis and a dread saurian.

Can I just say though - Bound Emerald Lifeswarm and several TL EOTGs... is probably your best bet for summoning...

Sorry to pour more salt on the wound, but this isn't playable as Thunder Lizards is strictly a Coalesced sub-faction and therefore don't have access to summoning.

TBF, if they are near a Slann, you can get at least 10 Sauras Warriors a turn (hopefully) for summoning. Maybe more, depending on the FAQ on their ability.

10 sauras a turn is actually very fast compared to the assumed 3-9 CCP you can get in one turn bare minimum as Starborne. that may be 10 skinks, but you honestly want 10 CCP for Sauras, so it's a turn 2 summon on turn 1....

This could be interesting. Again, depending on the FAQ.

Just a question to the group (sorry if this has mentioned previously). Looking at the rules in the battle tome, if you go for skinks with javalins you dont get a close combat attack? And you cant equip shields to them?

I think his point was that having multiple EotG in Coalesced to summon Saurus Warriors is a better summoning mechanic than going Starborne and collecting CCP to summon Saurus Warriors.

You have 2 options for both Boltspitters and Meteoric Javelins. Either you equip them with Moonstone Clubs (better in melee) or with a Celesite Dagger + Starbuckler (worse in melee but gives a 5+ save).

The summoning for coalesced is "granted" by the EotG. It's not guaranteed, but it's something.

Thank you now makes sense. I was reading as they were all separate options

By the way, does Thunder Lizard's CA allow multiple EotG to be launched at the same turn?

YES, but you need to use multiple command points and you must use the ability each time on a different EotG. So, 3 EotG = 3CA

Ahh I see, RAW, you can only use the Engine once per shooting phase, but with the CA you can activate additional engines once.

At least, owner of multiple EotGs doesn't have to remake them.

this is also a weird thing about summoning. Why in the world does the EoTG pump out units quicker than several freaking slannput together. It is such a weird mechanic now.
