You beat me to it, I was going to post the Clownfish TV mention of this. Once again, they brought up the good point that the Latin American loathes the term LatinX in place Latino or Latina but people can't stop using it.

I imagine at the last CW corporate board meeting.

That's disgusting.

In 2016 the election, I came perilously close to permanently damaging an old friendship. By 2020 I switched parties for unrelated reasons.

Party affiliation is not that important in the grand scheme of things given that party affiliation is so malleable but some people are making party affiliation akin to religion, in all the bad ways and not the good ways.

Bad: Heretics and infidels are punished. They are subhuman and evil.

The good aspect of religion, a code of moral guidelines and accountability, is not present in modern politics.

Right now the American Left is pulling this crap. But during the Bush years, the Right was pulling this crap. Nowadays Whenever a party has the upper hand, they will try squelch dissent.

It's not that great of a loss to get banned from a website that sucks. Leave the babies in the crib and go elsewhere, the internet is a big place.

the thing is i don't want to give any ground. as we have seen every where else if unopposed the left tends to ruin things.

I choose to vote with my wallet, as thin as my wallet is :(, I cannot do a whole lot of voting.

I believe a lack of money can starve the gigantic devil that is the CCP. If the CCP is a gigantic devil, woke garbage spewing sites are tiny imps. Tiny imps can starve too.

A lot of the wokest media outlets are in fact going broke. While yes, Disney and other multimedia magnates have deep pockets, some of the smaller media companies are desperately putting their companies up for sale and not finding buyers.

I'm starting to develop a sneaking suspicion that you view the CCP as a greater threat than the likes of Kathleen Kennedy. ;)
 
I won't be able to watch Turning Red because Scalenex refuses to pay for Disney+ or sail the high seas and I get all my media piggybacking off his media accounts.


I would have liked to see the first high budget movie with a red panda in it in the theaters, but I cannot.

Though what I read about Turning Red, it doesn't sound like it is going to be one of Pixar's better films. I mean why would turning into a panda ever be a bad thing?

I'm not sure if it relates to woke-ism but I don't see it as the worst kind of discrimination, the kind that affects me.

As long as we have the same enemies list, I'm not too concerned on how you rank them. Both the CCP and the Kathleen Kennedy are trying to destroy American culture. The CCP is just a bit more literal about it.

I am irked that Kathleen Kennedy is getting a golden parachute but she is not in power any more and I don't believe that she can do any more meaningful damage (though if I have to eat my words, I will be unhappy).

I know she is potentially set to damage the Indiana Jones brand but in my opinion, after The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Indiana Jones is already dead. Indiana Jones is more like Captain Jack Sparrow than James Bond. There were multiple good James Bonds but there will never be multiple good Jack Sparrows.

Harrison Ford is the character. I don't see how any actor can fill Harrison Ford's shoes.

But let's say Kathleen Kennedy is fired in disgrace, she is blacklisted in the entertainment industry, and somehow someone finds legal grounds to sue her into bankruptcy.

It's not like The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe where you slay the witch, and a golden age of peace and prosperity comes to Narnia.

The damage to the Star Wars brand is not going to magically reverse itself because Kennedy is ousted.

But it would keep her from damaging it further. And maybe... just maybe... they hire someone talented who can slowly start to mend the wounds she left behind.


Plus, simply seeing her head on the metaphorical chopping block is intrinsically joy inducing.
