The never-ending battle against woke Hollywood and SJW infused entertainment media [trigger warning]

There is a political cartoon that I saw about a month ago that was brilliant but I cannot find it again. It was talking about franchise destruction. It was about seven stick people.

Media Company: "I have a thing!"

Six of the people are like "Yay!" "I like the thing!" etc. The last stick person is silent.

Next panel the six out of seven in the audience are holding up money "Let's buy the thing!"

Next panel, the oddball say "I don't like the thing! I find the thing offensive! I demand you change the thing."

Next panel the media person say "okay I have changed the thing." and the six paying customer stick people walk away saying variations of "I don't like the thing anymore."

The media stick figure turns to the last one left. "You want to buy the thing?"

It answers "Nah, I didn't really care about the thing in the first place."


The woke infiltration of mass media wouldn't be so bizarre if woke people occasionally bought things.

It is a testament to how much I like Peter Dinklage as an actor that I am not going to boycott movies he ins in.

I think he should be in more things. Even if the role isn't explicitly for a dwarf. I really liked him in X-Men Days of Future Past. Okay that movie was a little weak as a whole, but I liked Peter playing Dr. Trask. I think Peter Dinklage can play almost any cerebral villain.

While I was disappointed with how Game of Thrones ended, I don't blame Dinklage for that. From what I can tell he tried to push back against the tide of the franchise's self destruction.

If he keeps this up, I might lose my good will for him.

That said. This is dumb. If Peter Dinklage doesn't change course I'll add him to my list of actors I refuse to pay money to see.

I want the role of Snow White played by a white actress. With pure, unadulterated white skin. An albino actress.

(jokes aside, it would make more sense and you could build a new story about it... even a woke one. With the queen that hunts SW not because she envies her beauty, but beause she just hates her diversity)

A Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs film without Snow White or Dwarfs! The problem is that people keep going out to see these trash remakes.

This is a fantastic point - nobody starts complaining about how albinos (and to a lesser extent non-albino people who are naturally pale, like myself) can be teased and verbally discriminated against. Yet the Left doesn't care about this because those minorities are white, and the Left-Wing doesn't care about white minorities because it goes against their agenda, proving their overall hypocrisy of claiming to be anti-racist so long as the racism targets non-whites.

I saw this too recently in a news article. Disney continues to ride on the dumb woke train, and Peter Dinklage seems to have just got on board, which is a shame as he was so good as Tyrion in GoT, and decent in Prince Caspian. What's all the more daft about his response is that about ten years earlier, there were (understandable) complaints from the dwarf community about the live-action Snow White and the Huntsman not casting actual dwarfs as the Seven Dwarfs.

Not to mention that this planned remake is now pointless if it doesn't actually have a recognisable Snow White or Dwarfs, as you've just said. But then, all the Disney remakes thus far have been pointless cash-cows that are nowhere near as good as the originals. The only one I've seen thus far was The Jungle Book and it was pretty poor (why female Kaa, selfish, unpleasant Baloo and giant King Louie?). The only remakes I would ever consider seeing would be Hercules (to see whether they would be more faithful to Greek Mythology and if James Woods returns as Hades, as he loved the character) and their planned attempt to redo the Prydain series (again to see if it is any more faithful to the source material and if they can find an ample substitute for the legendary late John Hurt to play the Horned King, or Arawn if they adapt the full book series).

The list begins and ends with Amber Heard. I like Jason Mamoa and Aquaman 1 so not watching the movie will be a small sacrifice on my part.

I'm not going to watch the live action Snow White because I don't like the woke push. I'm not going to watch it because I have no interest in it. I didn't like Snow White that much to begin with and I think the sub-genre of cute-trified fairytales doesn't translate well to live action.

If you are going to do a fairy tale movie in live action. It should be an old school Grimm style fairy tale that is dark. Even then it doesn't need to be live action. The success of Coraline shows there is an appetite for non-sugar coated fairy tales.

I'm not going to watch anything directed or produced Paul Fiege or Kathleen Kennedy, not because I don't like them as people, but because they are terrible leaders and they make crap products.

If a movie comes out, I will see what Overlord DVD, Critical Drinker, and Clownfish say about it. They generally give media a fair shake, even if they don't like the people making it. I will do the same, unless the movie has Amber Heard in it, or was made with cooperation of the CCP.

I don't agree with everything Jordan Peterson says and does (far from it), but in this video below I am inclined to agree with every word he says.

While I think family and friends are more important for socialization of young people than stories, I think heroic masculine characters is a good thing for young people's growth and society at large.
