So for a large portion of the nineties, my friends and I played the Star War RPG from West End. We played it a lot.
I don't know if this was intended by the RPG publishers, but our game play looked a lot like a season 1 episode of the Mandalorian. They mentioned an Eweb blaster in season 1 as something that could actually hurt Mando. Eweb was the most powerful infantry weapon available in the Star Wars RPG.
Player characters usually invested in the best armor we could get our hands on. We also maxed out our character's strength score (which was used to resist damage along with armor). Normally, our characters just tanked hits instead of trying to dodge. Unless the enemy had an Eweb, than we'd dodge.
