Half right. Klingons are space dwarves, not Space orcs.

Q is a Space Fair Folk, not a Space Wizard. Wizards have rules and limits. Jedi and Sith are space wizards except for Rey who is a badly written space wizard.

I would liken Wesley to Snarf from the 1980s Thundercats. (the Thundercats remake toned down Snarf's annoyingness).

A Scottsman is a Scottsman whether he's in a fantasy setting, a sci-fi setting, or a fantasy sci-fi setting where Aku's evil is law.
