No thanks... I am one who didn't care for the prequel trilogy (or the sequel trilogy for that matter). It would be rough to see what he would do with another trilogy

Chances are it would be better than the Sequel Trilogy at least, because it’s his universe, he knows what to do with it. And what we need is something better than the Sequel Trilogy to restore faith in the franchise.

And he also created the Original Trilogy which inexplicably seems to be everyone’s favourite except mine, give the man some credit for that at least.

I'm going to have to agree with @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl . I'd much rather put my trust in George Lucas. Kathleen Kennedy has proven herself to be a completely incompetent leader an the worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars (including the Holiday Special, which in the grand scheme of things was much less damaging).

I'm a little conflicted on this.

I'm not a big fan of the PT or the "additions" Lucas has made to the OT. That said, I never thought Lucas should have sold to Disney.

Perhaps he could come back as a writer and/or producer, but I don't know if he's a strong director? However, his supposed story ideas for sequels were just as weird (possibly lame).

He isn't a particularly strong director, but I don't think that is the role he would be taking on.

I'd take his ideas over the dumpster fire that is the Sequel Trilogy any day. The ST was a complete and utter mess.

I hear that. I don't totally dislike Force Awakens on it's own.

Lucas is a decent idea got, but needs some serious pushback and editing, which he lost when he series from his first wife, as she was appetently the one who helped turn his ideas into a decent story for the original trilogy (they divorced in '83 which may explain some if the odder ideas that made it into RotJ).
