I have only watched a small amount of the Clone Wars animated series. I was not very impressed with Ashoka, or ANY of the animated characters in fact.

Being better than Rey is a very low bar. One could argue that every female protagonist in science fiction is better than Rey.

No fault on Daisy Ridley. She seems like a nice person and she is a good enough actor when you factor in the handicap of the bad writing she had to present. I feel bad that her career was slain by Star Wars.

I feel really bad for Ahmed Best (Jar Jar).

I'm not sure if Rey is a better character than Captain Marvel. Most of my dislike for Captain Marvel is because Brie Larson is highly unpleasant. Much like most of my liking for Captain Jack Sparrow is because Johnny Depp is very charismatic. Apparently Disney is reversing their decision to out Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean 6. I hope Depp tells them no. If I were in his shoes and I didn't need the money I would do that. I'm not sure if Depp has ample money to spare though.

I am not an Ahsoka hater but.... yeah, she is annoying most of the time. I'd take Rey over Ahsoka in most cases.

As for the Clone Wars: agree with @Scalenex that a lot of it isn't exactly stellar writing, especially concerning the characters. But hey, Star Wars! :)

My advice to you is absolutely to keep going with The Clone Wars - the general consensus among fans is that while the movie and first season isn’t amazing, it gets much, much better later on. If you really need convincing, try the Umbara Arc from Season 4 (starting from Darkness on Umbara) - it’s possibly some of the strongest episodes the series has to offer

Well maybe when I subscribe to Disney+ to watch Season 2 of the Mandalorian I will watch Clone Wars too. Maybe.

As someone who has studied cloning, I can confirm that the Star Wars series knows literally nothing about the actual process

I don’t like either to be honest. Rey was interesting until she beat Kylo without ever having wielded a lightsaber before, and from then on it just became silly. As @Lizerd says, it was Disney (specifically Abrams and Johnson) that messed her up big-time.

Dunno, I’m not a huge fan of Ahsoka

I guess my problem was Ahsoka was kinda annoying and didn’t have much unique character to her.

im not saying Rey is much better, but atleast she had more potential (that was squandered by Disney)

Have an Arnie thumbs up pal

Agreed - while I can’t stand Ahsoka, it doesn’t mean I don’t like the Clone Wars series as a whole, same as just because Wesley is as equally annoying, doesn’t mean I don’t like TNG. Quite a few of the story arcs are brilliant, such as the Umbara Arc as you mention, and the Mandalore Arc is personally my absolute favourite (that one does feature her for one episode, but that’s only one out of many and I can just about tolerate her for that long). For all of you who thought the forbidden love theme with Anakin and Padme had potential but was poorly executed, try the Mandalore Arc!
