That is BS. Was Boba Fett's ship ever called Slave I in the OT era? Because if not I would consider it another Disney attempt to eradicate Episodes I-III.

It was in the expanded universe novels. I'm not sure if George Lucas had put in the note. My understanding it was the a "slave" in the vernacular of programming language because it could be remote controlled.

There are lots of EU that include Boba Fett and the writers often go in different directions. In one, Boba Fett mentioned off-handedly that he was against slavery, but not against it enough to fight the Empire because the Empire signed a lot of his pay checks.
