Welp... I had them prepared and paints mixed.

After some time without anything to show, I finally started making some progress.

I had to take a break on Nids, as I have something with an elbow. It is nothing serious, but I can´t hold minis steady for detail edge highlights.

Guevesa Breachers are preshaded:


I also continue on MESBG orcs. I already have few of them based and I´ll show them when they are all prepared for priming.

Have you heard of QUAR?

Colleague told me about this weird goofy game his son is scheduled to play at FLGS since he didn´t find anyone for MESBG.

When we got to office, he was able to find name of game. QUAR

And let me tell you... it looks goofy as hell. Imagine WWI, but with humanoid anteaters.

Also, there are two rulebooks,skirmish level, played with "patrols" of about 10-12 minis, and full wargaming army level.

I cannot resist, so I made myself a bed with 10 minis with loadout per exemplary patrol on back of the rules. Those little buggers are small, and I mean skink sized. So I put whole patrol on bed, then I put there couple of minis for kiddo to paint and then I just slapped a tank there as well.

I presume you've seen the hard plastic ones made by Wargames Atlantic as well?

Didn't know they were Skink-sized, always thought they were human-sized. Would you be able to take a quick size comparison shot or two to show how your Quar compare to a variety of races (humans, Lizardmen, anything else you can find)?

I´ve seen them, but I found only one shop that has them and even that is in different country. But I plan to get someone to split shipping cost and get Fidwog box.

Wow, they are considerably smaller than I thought! And they're the regular-sized Quar...

I'll be most interested to see how the Fidwogs, midgets even in the Quar world, compare now when you get them.

Really productive day at modellers club today!

I primed all 24 MESBG orcs.

Based Taunar, assembled shoulder weapons and sorted small parts that were miscast so bad I rather have them 3D printed.


Finished those comission Nids! (+ Winged prime, but that one was already done)


And mostly finished Guevesa breachers. I would have finished them, but forgot mud paint at home.

I am covered in resin dust from all the sanding and still finding new surfaces to sand.

I hope to get it finished by the end of August. That will mark one year since it arrived.

Bed with parts is ready and free space filled with couple more Quar to testprint. I couldnt find suitable back of fusion blasters, so I decided to print them whole and fit them to arms. On plus side, if I manage to find nice way to magmetise them, I can then print Ion cannons and switch them.

Second unit of Crisis suits is finished for now. Photo with two sets of weapons attached to magnet points. Three more weapon sets to go.
