Blog Sleepy corner

It was either this, or oldschool warriors made from leftover paintstripped pieces. :) Anyways, this (not sure if single banner, or whole unit) will be my Feathered Serpent entry.

I've made slight modifications to banner with couple of raptadon trinkets and replaced bottom with spear blade. I also glued two unused spears together to form single one without hand for drummer as all models have spears on warscroll.

Now it is priming time.

New achievement unlocked!
"Too hot to handle."

Kiddo wanted to paint more monsters again, so I dug up old ghouls and quickly glued them together. After we primed them, I told him that we'll do magic trick to dry them quick. I took our hairdryer and blasted them for a while. During preshading, I noticed that our new hairdryer apparently has "melt 'em good" setting.
I tried to re-heat mini to get base back to sit flush. Well... This is the result. :D

Couple of years ago, I helped small publisher with design of cardboard element for board game. After I have not heard from them for two years, they sent me paycheck and final boardgame. :) While I was not impressed with rules, money was wisely used on impulsive buy. :D

Also, Slann is mostly finished, just base and skink helpers are missing.

Also also, better half desired to soon try out stuffed fables, so I will be painting that after Slann. There are 23 minis total, so hopefuly it won't take too much time.

I do approve of this ;)
A good decision was made.

Stuffed Fables looks like a bunch of fun minis.

Grrr, !mrahil

Yup, although couple of minis look a bit disturbing. There is a girl in nightgown that looks like that girl from F.E.A.R., also crab-like creatures that remind me broken toys from toy story 1 and brute-like stuffy with darn meat cleaver.

I know that kiddo plays with poxwalkers and ghouls for fun, but I have this unsettling feeling that those minis are a bit much for kids game. :D

Darn... Those stuffed Fables will be more difficult than expected. :D

If I paint minis, I can't just stuff them back to the box, they'll be beaten up soon. So I need storage solution. Allright, I've made couple, I know the drill. But to make storage solution I need exact measurements of components. Cards and height of card piles. I started to measure them and then I thought "sleeves!" I need to sleeve cards prior to measuring, otherwise they might not fit. So I went to old dusty box of old boardgame accessories and found sleeves. For the last hour, I've been sleeving cards. :D
Then the real work begins and sketches will be made.

Have you heard of QUAR? :D

Colleague told me about this weird goofy game his son is scheduled to play at FLGS since he didn´t find anyone for MESBG.

When we got to office, he was able to find name of game. QUAR

And let me tell you... it looks goofy as hell. :D Imagine WWI, but with humanoid anteaters. :D

Also, there are two rulebooks, skirmish level, played with "patrols" of about 10-12 minis, and full wargaming army level.

I cannot resist, so I made myself a bed with 10 minis with loadout per exemplary patrol on back of the rules. Those little buggers are small, and I mean skink sized. So I put whole patrol on bed, then I put there couple of minis for kiddo to paint and then I just slapped a tank there as well. :D

Guy who I paint Nids for asked me if I have some time for him. He'll be sending me two batches of minis in next couple of months. First one with 23 models (luckily smaller ones) should arrive next week. We discussed it and it should be about 50-60 models total, done till june. Work, work, work :D
