I agree with just about every point he makes, but I'm still excited for it...

They're my guilty pleasure movies. I am fully aware that they are not good movies, but..
  1. Dinos!
  2. Nostalgia (in this day an age of movies, I'll take it)
  3. Chris Pratt

I have no interest in watching Jurassic World Dominion.

It seems that the writers don't understand what made the original Jurassic Park great.

It felt real and the stakes were high because the human characters were isolated and alone with the dinosaurs and their technological tools were failing due to bad weather and sabotage.

I cannot suspend my disbelief on this one.

Given that we as humans accidentally drive a lot of species to extinction, I cannot imagine that we could not purposely eliminate the dinosaurs if we put our minds to it with modern technology.

I don't think a pterodactyl could take down a plane or heliocopter. They wouldn't fast or strong enough to catch one, and animals, especially intelligent animals are terrified of new things that are weird and loud and smelly.

Maybe if the movie didn't take itself seriously (like Land of the Lost or a zombie movie) I could enjoy it, but Jurassic Park franchise movies take themselves very seriously.

That is completely fair and undeniable. In truth, it would be a relatively easy task. Even weapons owned by civilians (in certain countries/states), like a 50 BMG for instance (or even something smaller), would smoke a dinosaur with ease. If you have a safari gun capable of taking down an elephant, then you have a gun that with good shot placement will bring down a dinosaur as well.

Big organisms are simply no threat to us on a global scale... only extremely small ones are (bacteria, viruses, etc.).

That said, I am extremely excited for it. I know it will be a bad movie, but I know I will probably end up enjoying it anyways.
