Even going back to WHFB Saurus Warriors have always felt like they are stuck somewhere between horde troops and elite troops.

Lizardmen had at least one extremely competitive list for most of 6th, 7th and 8th edition fantasy.

I think we're also missing another doom stack, notably the koatls claw knight pain train

On the main subject of the thread, outside of being glorified shield drones for slann, they dont have much of a role. Simply put our generic infantry just does the job of killing stuff better as others have already pointed out. That said, they still can put out some hurt, just not as much as we would want them to.
