Over halfway, probably three quarters of the way through my story now I believe after a long time of not being able to advance its plot. Should easily have it finished either tomorrow or, at the very latest, Friday.

You know what combination of things makes a good muse?

Coffee, a nice bagel breakfast sandwich, more coffee, a looming contest deadline, plus a second free refill of coffee.

Though it gets a bit annoying when your laptop screen starts shaking. WHY IS MY SCREEN SHAKING! asdfghjkl;'

I'm probably the world's most unconfident writer, but I'm trying to embrace LO wholesale so was thinking of trying to squeeze a short story that I just had an idea about....

We can always use new blood in these contests. We haven't had any first time entrants since July.

36 hours and 5 minutes in fact. I am not super strict on this. I can extend the deadline a few hours if someone is really close to being done.

Few people cast their votes in the first two days. I usually spend the first week of the voting period correcting minor typos. If you are really close to the deadline don't worry too much about typos. They can be fixed.

Also

With all the people who promised or implied they would enter something. We have a good chance of breaking into double digits this contest!
