GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

I thought this was Bretonnian when I first looked, the Sigmar symbols are highly visible but that helmet distracts far too much for my taste. It does feel more AoS visually even with the boarding looking like demigryph barding. Would definitely remove those feathers at very least. I'd probably remove most of the barding details and possibly the plane on the horses head. I'd love to see it in a non GW paintjob.

It's not the feathers that are the problem, it's the animal head decoration that the feathers are attached to. It it was a simple sallet helm, it would be fine. Put some feathers on the sallet helm, because the Empire like their pretentious feathers, it should still be fine.

Problem is, I don't think we can just saw off the animal head décor. It would leave the top of the helmet too flat.

As for the barding... I dunno. I'm not seeing too much of a problem with the barding; this is a member of a highly prestigious knightly order, I can see him having some decorated barding. It's just that helmet that does me in. Change the head for a proper sensible sallet helm, and it will be fine I feel.

For me it is the taxidermy cat head on the shoulder pauldron that is a bit off-putting.

Alas, that's a Knights Panther thing. They wear cloaks made from actual panther pelts. I would prefer not having the head attached to said pelt, but as this is a character rather than a generic knight, I can see why GeeDubs made the choice.

I think that would rectify the problem. Or if they are hellbent to include it, then have it draped over the helmet instead. It just seems to big on the shoulder pauldron.

Some 40k model, still kind of neat.

I don't know who it is, but I think it's a pretty cool model. A very nice paint job, too.

It's Fulgrim, demon primarch of the traitor legion of the "Emperor's children", turned to chaos and devoted to Slaanesh

Didn't he got a model already a couple of years back?
Pretty quick to shed his skin for a new look

Grrr, !mrahil

Pretty sure that, like @Krox_v.2 said, it was Horus Heresy; a lot of the Primarchs have had models released for their 30k era looks, whereas right now I think Fulgrim is the... sixth or seventh to get a 40k model.

Magnus
Guilliman
Mortarian
Lionel
...
Huh... fifth unless I'm missing a Primarch or two.

Angron, you missed Angron.

Another preview on its way on 17th January (so a couple of Fridays' time):

5 main things teased for AoS, 40K, Necromunda and TOW:
  1. The first one looks like something for Vampire Counts... probably Soulblight 4th Battletome (yawn)
  2. Next one looks like something big and Admechy for 40K... probably 10th Admech Codex with the 40K equivalent of those Thanatar things released for Horus Heresy a while back
  3. This looks like a creepy crawly for Necromunda that lurks in the Underhive.
  4. Got to be Lucius the Eternal for the pointless Emperor's Children army release already teased with Fulgrim earlier (double yawn).
  5. But THIS is interesting... the roadmap claimed that High Elves were to follow Empire, but that's no High Elf. What clearly looks like a goat-like horn coming out of the head plus what looks like a staff covered in antlers, feathers and other fetishes makes me think... Beastmen! Either GW have finished retooling all the Beastmen stuff for TOW early and are shoving them between Empire and High Elves last-minute, or it's a long-game teaser for when (as we originally thought) they appear after High Elves.
Regardless, to see at least one new Beastman model and get some info on when they're turning up will be... well, Beast!

I hope that's the first of the Arcane Journal special characters being teased there... we do already have a plastic ordinary Bray-Shaman model that will most likely return in the TOW release so another one of those isn't necessary.

Here's another image from a still... it's definitely a Beasty Boy!!!!!

Not only do we have two horns but also the tufts of fur between them on the top of his head.

Hmmmm... so potentially the High Elves and Wood Elves back-to-back to close out the opening edition of TOW. Interesting.
