GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

That said, Adepticon is a big event and possible to have something splashy.

Very difficult, but that would be massive. In many senses. ;)
Sadly, I'm well aware that GW will never grant me the pleasure. The only time they would release such a thing is immediately after I had picked up the Forge World variant on the (expensive) secondary market. As soon as that happens, you can count on a GW plastic War Mammoth release.

Hmm, most interesting:

Something to do with Tyranids, and a Firstborn Space Marine chapter not seen before. New Tyranids would be great.

Let's just hope it's not a primaris termi. :p

I doubt it, given we already have those:

But then, this is GW we're talking about here, and they have been getting dumber in their attempts to release Yet another Primaris Marine weapon loadoutTM so anything could happen.

Are GW still releasing new sculpts for the Firstborn SMs? I would of thought them to be slowly phased out in favour of the better looking Primaris models.
They dug themselves a hole by needing to support a 40k-adjacent space marine game that forbids the use of their Primaris nerf warrior garbage. :D

i'd wish it could... ;)

but don't worry guys! with 10th ed. we'll have also chaos primaris!

As boring as that sounds, at least it would return some of the Grimdark to 40K - currently with the Imperium having Primaris and the Chaos Marines stuck with Firstborn, it's feeling a bit more like AoS 1st Edition where Noblebright Stormcast could trump everybody.

In 7th and previous, on the other hand, the fact that the Firstborn Space Marines were eternally challenged by the equally-powerful Chaos Space Marines made the villains much more of a threat. Balancing the odds so that the setting became Primaris vs Primaris would restore this.

Isn't chaos kinda winning currently?
With abadon suddenly pulling a "all my loses where totally just as planned" to finally break cadia and now flinging space-hulks around the place with his new buddy Vashtor? And several other high-profile victories like Luther escaping the rock?

And aren't the necrons kinda crushing Guillimans crusades as well?

Like, sure, the primaris are powerfull and have a bunch of nice shiny toys, and they liberate the occasional planet. But they don't seem to actually be winning any significant victories, and the imperium seems rather powerless at the moment against things like Vashtor's spacehulks and the Necron's cheat-codes.

The "best" victories of the imperium I can think of are all more along the line of "well at least Guilliman somehow survived fighting Mortarion". Which isn't exactly a stellar victory.
