GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

sJpZwuUTSjqruybP.jpg

So the Lumineth are getting a new battletome less than a year after their original release? Why GW, why?

I imagine all the Lumineth players are kicking themselves around the room at having to buy another Battletome already. Not even Stormcast had it this bad.

Yep, not only that but they’ve now rendered two Broken Realms books pointless with this move plus the DoK Battletome they released recently. The whole point of Broken Realms: Morathi was to update DoK for 2nd Edition, and the whole point of Broken Realms: Teclis was to supply the rules for all the Lumineth 2nd Wave models.

GW’s sense of priority just gets better and better...

According to a Reddit post GW said on Facebook (can't verify because I don't follow them on FB) that they are also including all the new rules for Lumineth in the Broken Realms: Teclis book. So supposedly original battletome + Broken Realms = new book. Which really leaves Lumineth players in an annoying place of either buying the Broken Realms book and having to go through two books to get the new rules, or buying the new battletome to get it all in one place and then also having to decide if they want to buy the Broken Realms book for the story/lore...

I, at the very least, hope the new Lumineth BT is cheaper. I don't expect it to be CONSIDERABLY cheaper, but at least give it cheaper. Alas, INB4 "we have already adjusted the priced for Brexit, despite UK making some move to make Brexit itself not hitting as hard as expected".

This could be even more stupid considering that they will bring Tyrion's half of "Light aelvekind" somewhere near there next two years.

At least the Warhammer-Community article says that you can skip the BT by getting the Broken Realms: Teclis book. But isn't that more expensive anyway?

Anyway, the I loved the new mounted named character, laughed my ass at the quiver of the ballista's staff at the start because of the angle, then they turned around and it was just a bag and not attached to a quiver, and then started to liked, and absolutely LOVED the Shrine. I just can't deny it is a fantastic terrain piece, and not a difficult one to replicate, which is the best part.

For Broken Realms we are also going get a new Nighthaunt hero, which are pretty much always a treat:

@NIGHTBRINGER 'S FAVORITE THING EVER: SIGMARINE THOR!!!!:

And we'll get a new Wight King too, but on a skeletal horse this time:

Da Mad Mob Reveal for Direchasm (and their noticeable lack of toenails, ugh):

And I am very pleased with Cursed City. This just screams "Classic" to me, and the models are extremely good, particularly the main hostiles.

Also, plastic Be'lakor both for Cursed City and Broken Realms Thid Part:

I am really pleased with this reveals. But Thor Sigmarine is just silly. At least for once he is from a different Stormhost (Hallowed Knights, instead of the ever present Hammers of Sigmar).

I’m especially interested to see that there’s a dead Chaos Warrior on his base and is surrounded by his fellow Daemons - does this mean he’s initiating a Chaotic civil war between Daemons and Warriors? That would be fun to watch.

And a war against the Primaris. :p AoS - 40k crossover confirmed!

We do know that Be'lakor does not like Archaon, so the Daemons vs. Warriors angle you suggest would make sense.
