GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Still just a preorder? No thanks.
It means that they are just two weeks away from shelves (best case scenario due to COVID-19). Just a little bit more!
:redcard:
If they do, just scrape them off; :shifty: use that super expensive, official GW label, mold line removal tool to do the job...

Also not my cup of tea, but for those interested here is an OBR Warhammer Underworlds reveal:

I was wondering if GW were going to give this guy a more Necron-like face as per the Mortisan Soulreaper, or one of the weird-looking Joker faces as per the rest of the Ossiarch range. Fortunately it’s the former (and as I read the description it makes sense because he’s also from the Mortisan subgroup as a Mortisan Executioner), which makes this model look pretty good in my opinion at least. I hope they’ll do this with the rest of the Warband as well, and it’s a real shame they didn’t do it with the rest of the range...

Also the Idoneth Deepkin one coming in June looks to be employing a fantasy lionfish as one of its models, which looks great, very reminiscent of the Mollog’s Mob Warband with the various cave creatures.

I've never been a fan of the OBR range. This guy may be better than the rest (for the reason you mentioned), but he is still a far cry from the might TK that came before him.

Settra does not serve.

Yeah I have to admit Ossiarch aren’t nearly as good as Tomb Kings. I thought the bone construct idea was fine and that actually is a hark back to Tomb Kings with their animated constructs, but GW really messed them up with the Joker faces they gave most of them, plus the silly Ankylosaurus head and tasteless crotch face and hands on the Harvester. I like the Necron-style heads of the Mortisan Soulreaper and this new Executioner though - why couldn’t GW have just given all the models heads like those, especially as Ossiarch are pretty much AoS Necrons? Let’s face it they made Stormcast so much like Space Marines it’s almost silly, making Ossiarch more Necron-like wouldn’t be much worse (in fact to me it’d be an improvement).

If I was forced at gunpoint to start Age of Sigmar with a Death faction, I would still choose Ossiarch because they’re the only Death faction I have any positive feeling at all for, but I would have to do a lot with them to really make them an army I would enjoy building and painting.

The first thing I’d do is scrounge a load of Necron heads from my collection and any shops that sell second-hand stuff to replace the Joker faces with - the heads themselves could be painted as golden death masks on the front and with a bone cranium at the back. They don’t fit completely with the Soulreaper and Executioner heads, but they’re the second-best thing. Perhaps sculpting some Egyptian-style crests with Green Stuff would also help.

Then if I had to have a Harvester I would use the more threatening crocodile head, and cover up the crotch guy with a banner or something - lots of things have loincloths. In fact I have a spare one from the Giant kit that I could use for that very purpose.

For me personally, OBR would be the last Death faction I would ever start. I'd probably go with either Nighthaunt or Legions of Nagash.

I'm not really a fan of flesh-eater courts either.

As for this season's releases for Underworlds, I would rank them as follows:

BEST

WORST

If I wasn't happy with the number of Lizardmen that I have, I would probably get some of the Warband models to through into my army (square-based).

I like the Skink priest model and the Chamo Skink.

Is this guy 8th Edition? I don't remember him in any of Tomes... (WoC, DoC)
Be'lakor originally had rules released in 6th edition (Storm of Chaos). He could be fielded as a Lord + Hero in a daemonic legions army (which was a special roster released in that book).

In 8th edition he had new rules released for him. The rules were not part of any army book or End Times book, but rather a separate digital purchase (I think, I could be wrong though). In these updated rules he could be fielded in a Daemons of Chaos or Warriors of Chaos army list.

Huh... Funny, as I've never heard of him. Any ideas where I can find a copy of the rules? Just google it or what?

I’ve just checked this, you’re right mate, it’s a separate Battlescroll.

I found it here:
http://i.4pcdn.org/tg/1385893659851.pdf

It’s dreadfully formatted with the text being ridiculously massive, as per a lot of GW digital books from the End Times/7th Ed 40K era, but the rules for using him in Fantasy are there, from page 237 onwards. The previous pages up to 128 are his 40K lore and rules, and from pages 129-237 are his Fantasy lore pages.
