GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

I agree with @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl about the Ogre model. It has too much happening around the waistline.

I have zero pull to buy the model.

Never mind the waistline, I thought the face, lack of clothing and pose were more of a problem. The face looks more like that of a Giant (bald without any form of facial hair) and the blindfold makes no sense. Ogres never go barefoot and generally wear more clothing than what this model is wearing (especially Hunters who wear the pelts of the game they've taken down), and the pose looks more Zombie-like than anything else.

I can't understand GW's thinking with this one when they did so well with the plastic Tyrant and the Hunter in the Underworlds Warband.

The idea that it is a rejected SoB model makes a lot of sense.

SoB tend to be have a lot of exposed skin, no shoes, rags for clothes etc. Ogres tend to wear crude, but decently made clothes.
SoB carry loads of random junk, Ogres tend to carry 1-2 extra objects on their belts max.
SoB create makeshift helmets and crowns from animal bones, Ogres either wear an actual helmet or nothing.
SoB tend to be posed as if they're having trouble balancing, looking like they might tip over, a bit drunk, Ogres tend to be posed as if they have much more firmer footing (both mounted and unmounted).

And this hunter seems to consistently fall in the SoB catagory. Admittadly, some of that might be cuz he's a hunter, like how overloaded he is with stuff.
But it does make for a rather odd-feeling ogre.

A horrendously OP Chaos Lord build in 8th Edition Warhammer Fantasy. Unkillable cheese that shouldn't have been allowed to exist and was an example of how 8th Edition returned the game to being Herohammer.

@NIGHTBRINGER please do the honours of explaining the build fully.

My God's but I remember that build.

And you're right this looks like the same thing.

Also there is some rumors floating about that this new chaos Lord is a dual kit with a generic chaos Lord on demonic mount.

I wouldn't be at all surprised, GW have already made dual mounted character/named character kits for Idoneth, Ossiarch and Lumineth, that seems to be another of their favourite kit designs.

yep, 8th was a good game but with many flaws.
Pretty obvious, as GW never chased balance: the game was (and is) merely a tool to sell miniatures.

Plus the horse pose ok this guy is a dead giveaway.

Both lumineth and ossiarch dusl kits have this same rearing up pose
