Kiwis' online shop has this weeks preorders up, and we have finally our full 3D preview of the full warband. They surely bring foward The Great Plan.

They cost $75 NZ, and only uses two sprues, which makes the plan of Crendor (WoW and no WarhammerCrendor) of buying like 5 boxes something reasonable.

And, for 225 points, we can send the Starblood Stalker to the battlefield of the Mortal Realms. They have the Keywords COALESCED, THUNDER LIZARD, which surprised me a lot because I expected them to be neutral.

For a preview of their playstyle on the living mountain, you can click >here< for the Warhammer-Community article, but in resume, the Skink are scurry and dodgy objective holders, the Priest controls with hexes, the Chamaleon cripples from afar and vanishes and the Oldblood smashes that which his smaller brethren can't take down.

We also get confirmation of the Idoneth warband, because of that fish.

Also this week, and somewhat countering our noble release, comes the Dark Eldar Combat Patrol. The thickest kit in the range so far, just look at that box!:

– 1x Archon
– 10x Kabalite Warriors
– 5x Incubi
– 1x Ravager
– 1x Raider

This is quite the kit, mainly because those are two fairly sized hoverships.

Odd that they have a faction and sub-faction keyword. Does that mean they can only be taken in a thunder lizard list?

I kind of like the set for AoS, I can't say how good I think they'll be in Underworlds because I don't play that game, yet...

So Kixi-Taka is a Skink Priest, not a Starpriest, so no spells. But he has the two Skink Priest buffs, which are either free or easier to use on the Starblood Stalkers, and he can still buff Skinks like normal. The Skinks and Chameleon Skink aren't going to do much of anything, to be honest. I doubt you'll even get 1 wound through most of the time with all their attacks combined, unless you're lucky enough to roll some 6's with Otapatl.

The biggest bonus I see from this unit is the deepstriking capability. This will be the *only* deepstrike Coalesced can get, and at the very least being able to throw them all at a backline target or key objective could be very useful.

soooo it's a normal priest with a gimped oldblood that can deep strike.... not sure why i was exited with GWs track record but there you go.
why can't the old blood use his command ability? they can already act independently so why the heck is he not just a oldblood?
and even then why would you want both skink and saurus support since this is just 2 of our heroes stapled together but worse?
wait why does the old blood have a worse save?!?
why is this unit 225? there are no other units with a 5 in the ones category you will always have a 5 points left over
why is this warscroll worse then the sum of it's parts?!?
also everything in the list has different bravery does that mean you can loos the heroes to battle shock?

You can't lose the heroes to battle shock because they are each their own unit.

Then of course we have these ugly OBR models from Underworlds. Next to the Vampire Counts above, these look comically bad (I my personal opinion).

And on a different and more flavourable note:

Next to those gorgious skeletons the OBR are a laughable pile of bone.

That last one is a very new sort of Squig, it looks 40K-ish due to the weapens and armor.

Grrr, Imrahil

All i have to say on the matter is...

PLASTIC BLOOD KNIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!
They finally arrived. There has been so much anticipation. Lovely models.

I'm quite tempted by the Vampire Counts... if only I didn't already have 4 whole armies (each of which is unpainted or largely unpainted).

@Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl

New Vampire Counts (I mean Soulblight Gravelords... but really I mean Vampire Counts!). Why must GW tempt me so?

The bats are decent, but everything else, as you'd expect, I hate. I admit that Blood Knights and Zombies both needed updates, and at least these new models have good designs, but the aesthetics are still as horrible as ever in my view.

The Skeletons are particularly unnecessary given the 7th Ed ones are perfectly fine, but maybe they are going to be exclusive to a Start Collecting Box like the more animated Chaos Warriors released a while back.

Once again we have Attack of the Joker Faces. What a shame these have been so ruined by a single stupid idea. The army had so much potential and yet has fallen so heavily flat it's unbelievable.

And on a different and more flavourable note:

These looks immensely fun. Looks like Orks will be the next Xenos Codex then, which is a surprise given there have been two Tyranid rumour engines and no Orky ones, but I like Orks too so I'm not fussed.

Alongside those is another little nugget that is actually interesting amid the crap that has covered vast swathes of this year's new releases:

A new god is coming to AoS, and it looks like a new faction - AoS Centaurs! I'm certainly interested as to how these look and their playstyle. I'm assuming they are a Destruction faction given Kragnos sounds malevolent, he has appeared in Ghur and Centaurs were portrayed as wild and untamed in Greek Mythology and in some fantasy worlds. I can just imagine them having a playstyle akin to Mongols, given they hail from the vast open plains and steppes of Ghur, so will have fast Centaur archers supported by one or two heavy cavalry units. Also their feral appearance could mean they'd be good as Centigor proxies for Beastmen, so that's another plus.
