GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Hell yes to the beatsmen...finally! And summoning rules to boot - nice.

It looks like Nightvault will be coming next week!

For a long while we knew that Sacrosanct, Nighthaunt and Moonclan would be confirmed for Nightvault (the former two as the core set factions and the latter as a separate warband), and I was guessing that 4 warbands, one for each Grand Alliance, would be released first like they did with Shadespire, but I wasn’t sure who would be given the Chaos Warband. I thought it would either be Tzeentch (as it all looks very magical and Tzeentch is Chaos God of Magic) or Beastmen (as they have just been given a Battletome), but I wasn’t sure which until today. I can reveal that the first Chaos warband for Nightvault has been confirmed as Tzeentch, and not any old Tzeentch warband, but a Tzaangor warband!

As to the other four that are to appear later, I am unsure, but I think I can make some guesses:

Order: Kharadron and/or Daughters of Khaine
Chaos: Beastmen, Nurgle or Slaanesh
Death: Flesh Eater Courts

I’m more or less certain that there won’t be any other Destruction warbands as Death has the focus at the moment in a AoS, but I may be wrong and we may see an elite Ogre warband appear. We’ll just have to see.

Nightvault is the new Warhammer:Underworlds/ Shadespire?

BRING ON THE LIZARD WARBAND! :D

edit: will probably be another stormcast warband added to list list too... just sayin :shifty:

What is with the amount of SCE warbands for that game.. It's not even like they differ that much. It's all just bands of 3 fairly elite warriors. The only difference is that one can attack from a square further and this one is themed around magic, but that just means that the cards will say "heroic arcane bolt" instead of "heroic slash" or "Heroic bowshot".

A seraphon warband would be awesome though. The game is decently fun.

Just wanted to mention that since Tzaangors are now part of the Beasts of Chaos, this could very well be a Beasts of Chaos warband! Although I doubt it, just wanted to mention the possibility :)

It would be very nice to see Seraphon there, I forgot to include them as a possible Order warband. I don’t think it will be another Sigmarine one as they have a war and for every chamber currently in existence, apart from Extremis who are monstrous Cavalry anyway so wouldn’t fit in an infantry skirmish game. I don’t think we will see another Sigmarine warband until they bring in another Sigmarine chamber, which won’t be for a while yet as they only just released one a couple of months ago.

So you're saying the next sigmarine warband will be next month given that we have to wait the loooooooooooooooong time needed to introduce a new chamber? :P

No, I mean that once this Sacrosanct Chamber warband has been introduced, there will be no Sigmarine warband after this for a while (certainly not in Nightvault I don't expect - Sigmarine players should have to wait for Season 3 for more love after the Core Set is released) due to the fact that GW will move on from Sigmarines now that they have given them a big release. I was replying to @Warden's quote about the possibility of another Sigmarine warband appearing in Nightvault separate from the Sacrosancy warband, which at this point is an impossibility as GW have released warbands for all the Sigmarine chambers currently released. The only reason why there were two Sigmarine Warbands in Shadespire was because of the Vanguard chamber release that accompanied the second 1st Edition battletome for Sigmarines, and so GW felt that they needed to release a Vanguard chamber warband to cater for those who specifically liked Vanguard and not the ordinary Sigmarines.

Hahaha... honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that actually happened.

A video has been posted about Warhammer Underworlds, showing some upcoming Warbands. No Seraphon though :(

So box set has Stormcast (Order) and Nighthaunt (Death)... the rest I saw were:

  • Night Goblins (Destruction)
  • Tzangors (Chaos)
  • Maurauders... Darkoath? (Chaos)
  • Mushroom Trolls (Destruction)
  • Sylvaneth but not the tree kind (Order)
  • Sky dwarfs (Order)
So 3 Order, 2 Chaos, 2 Destruction, and only 1 death.

???
I am interested.

As am I - I never expected that the troll would be separate from the Night Goblins - certainly looking forward to seeing what faction they are from!

I'm also pleased to see Darkoath return to keep the Darkoath hype up, so that they haven't been forgotten, as well as Kharadron as I was hoping for Kharadron. While It's a shame that the Sylvaneth warband was made up of Revenants rather than Dryads, that will nevertheless mean that there will be more material for the Gloomforest Spawn! Also the Green Lady at the head of the warband looks to have some sort of Bretonnian Damsel vibe to her which is nice.

I'm guessing that the Night Goblins and Tzaangors will be released just after the Core Set while the others will be released later on.
