I see. I was looking for tips on wether to sculpt scales or not. But I guess I won't sculpt scales because the snake is so tiny.

Yeah I didn't bother sculpting scales for something so small. I guess it depends on how much time you want to spend on them haha

True! I'll go for a bright and popping colour on that snake so nobody will recognize it has no scales

We've finally had a dry day here so I've managed to get the aerosol cans out. Matt varnished the Stegadon crew ready for the metallics to be painted now. Also primed my Slann and a couple of units of skinks so I've got stuff to be getting on with if the weather changes again.

No pics I'm afraid but once the crew are fully finished I'll post another update.

I like the colors. Are you planning on highlighting the Black dots?

At first sight I thought He had a Yellow mustache

Both your Stegadon and Slann make me embarrassed that I still havn't done mine

Thank you so much! Yes I did paint the leaf too, it started life as a bright orange and yellow aquarium plant haha

The spots were done with the Wyldwood Contrast paint so I might come in with a subtle brown highlight on them, I'm scared of ruining them though haha.

Yeah I see the mustache too, I might change the lip colour. You're not the first to have said that.

It's taken me years to get around to painting this stuff so there's definitely no reason to feel bad about it

Thank you so much! I'm still learning and improving. I'm trying to increase my painting speed too, it takes me a long time to get to that end result. The community on here are a great inspiration and help to keep me motivated

The little critters on the Slann palanquin are so cute. It was fun coming up with the schemes for them all.

Here's the finished model. Overall I'm very happy with how this turned out.
