AoS Eternal Starhost + Chameleon Skinks

Exactly. It kills the balance of the game since it divides armies into two groups: those who can spam mortal wounds and those who cannot do that.
It makes all the cool save mechanics some units have completely useless.

Luckely the guards are just a huge point sink...
I dont mind mortal wounds,.. but the consitancy the gave some units to deal them just seems a bit weird. And also the lack of dealing them for some armies. Like us :(. Especially in 750-1500 points lists

Hence not taking the battalion. I try to keep it balanced a bit. Although the SCE will have the relictor, retributors and celestant on dracoth.
Guess I’ll be practising to avoid the mortal wounds.

Mwha, this particular army isn't too problematic, it has relativly high potential, but they're not too reliable. The special mace the retributors have is the biggest issue. But everything else is within reason. That or my girlfriend just rolls abysmally whenever she uses them ;)

True, though we do need something to get passed heavy armor. I still wish they had gone for magical & physical damage. Seperate the damage into two types, both with their own saves. Have specialised troops to deal with either. Much better than just throwing in a mortal wound mechanic...

Hopefully I’ll get enough attacks of with ny Guards at -1 rend. Can Guards fight in ranks of two with just 1” of range? Not sure if I can get 3x10 attacks of with 15 guards, unless they can reach through one of their own models.

The ones I have are actually old templeguards on the small square bases. I want to rebase them to round ones, can I just pick any size? And will this affect howmany Guards can get in range?

The official base size for Guards is 32mm. Unfortunately that means they can not fight in two ranks. 1.5 ranks with a bit of staggering would work though.

What is the standard base size for razordons/salamanders and slann?

A Slann is on a 50mm base IIRC.
Salamanders and Razordons use the same bases as Knights I think, an oval. 75x42 I think.

Thanks! I am going to custom build a slann, and I want to make sure I have the right base size.
