Either to go onto a terrain piece, or I might stick in in the hatch of a tank or rhino somewhere.

Probably a lot. Would definitely make an aluminum foil core for it and skin it in greenstuff.

Your models look amazing. The new seraphon boxset has got me to return to wargames and painting after about 8 years off, I have been browsing here for inspiration and your multicoloured dinos are so cool. I tried to do something similar with some tyranids years ago but did not have the skills to pull it off. Would you mind sharing how you did those beautiful colour transitions/blends?

Thanks! I spend too much time on them individually, so the appreciation helps keep me at the grind for troops.

I have gone down three routes on them to get to different flavours of roughly the same result.

Prime them white, paint the midsection and shoulders yellow. Hit the tail, tops of the legs, and arms with a semitransparent red. Hit the shoulders and head (excepting the nose) with a semitransparent green. And finally hit the front of the head with a darker blue. Scales hit an opaque black on my guard models, and an opaque dark blue on the scales for the rest of my saurus.

My first round was done by wet blending with contrast paints, but it wasn't bright enough, so I did a round of blending with wet stippleing to get a brighter smoother transition.

When I realized I have over 150 unpainted seraphon models (ignoring my 40k and malifaux models), I did snag an airbrush to get the basecoating done much faster. Every scale and skin highlight is brush painted though. And they started to look okay by the 8th model (repetition helps the end result :wacky:).

Last pro tip on that, I switched to a fine tip sharpie for the scales after painting them on the first 15 guard.
 
Split the new Warcry box with someone (I got the terrain, aka the realmshaper engine) and they asked me if I had time to play a game. I did and it was a lot of fun. Aaaand afterwards I put this together and started modding it a bit...20230526_011100.jpg

That is a good deal! I am eyeing out that piece of terrain as well... such an awesome addition to the battlefield or army display :)
