That is what I was thinking as well, I am planning to be able to run the model as a basic battleline steg too so I need to accommodate for when there is no throne or skink chief to cover that magnet.

Even with normal stegadon, there is always crew that can cover it.

Thanks! Like I said, I am kinda going for Mardis Gras on parade, just wait til I get all 35 of them painted up...eventually ;)
 
Figuring out what corners I need to cut to finish up this first batch of Guard.

Just have the gold and shields left on the first 5 (sure, I have to do up the eyes and shading, and straps...), but that leaves 10 more to do by the end of November. Easy peasy, right?
 
Test model, shifting to blue scales on the younger saurus warriors (non-temple guard saurus). Realized I missed a spot after looking at the pick. I am kinda unsure if I want the cold one's scales to be black, or shift to a dark brown on the way down.

I have the black scales painted on five of the cold ones, and the blue scales on two and a half of the riders. I am thinking of going browning purple for the saddle blankets and straps, and a blackish-brown leather with gold for for the saddles themselves.
 
Doing a speedrun build/paint of a model that I am gifting to a friend who doesn't play anymore, but GW just finally released the sculpt for the leader of his army.
