Blog Sleepy corner

They are the funky highlights compared to the most of grimdark stuff I make. :)
Speaking of grimdark, two Heretic Troopers and one Annointed are done.

Ah, Big Daddy is cosplaying as an Ultrasmurf these days. I suppose that after the fall of Rapture, it's good that the Big Daddies have found some hobbies. XD

It is important to have hobbies when there are no little sisters in heretic legion. :D

Productive day!
I went to modellers club after work. Stuart is varnished and prepared for decals, I preshaded last nid unit that was only primed and while at it, I noticed this sad little guy sitting half primed for almost a year, so I primed top half and got him preshaded as well.

I don't know why this wardog was forgotten for so long. Maybe plenty of other models, maybe Death Guard burnout... But since I spent plenty of time digibashing and then kitbashing it, it deserves paint.

A lot happened in last almost week.

Hormagaunts are only missing highlights, kiddo went head first through display case glass door, Stuart has decals and Quar tractors are printed.

Usual stuff :D

Apart from 6 stitches in hand, he is fine. Old ones must have protected him as a reward for succesfuly painting his first dino earlier this year. After two hours in hospital and three hours of vigoriously cleaning whole living room of glass shards, only evidence of previous bloodshed is missing display case door, hole in floor from where corner of door fell and very lively kiddo with plenty of bandages around palm. Also my own feeling of disappointment of myself, because I knew from past that kiddo just doesn´t register those glass doors and I should have closed them in exact moment I took model out.

Anyways, I get back pain from sleeping in wrong position for hour. He has 6 stitches in his hand and he says that it doesn´t even hurt. Kids, right? :D

Quar tractors!
Since first 2 plastic tractors were announced and optional weapons added, that were not availiable in resin kits, I worked on modifications. Both stls now have optional weapons ready for magnets. fcc82cb1-0f71-414f-a204-cdcaa960d54a.jpg

Also, there was space on beds, so... :D

More of my little friends and this time with adorable tanks no less!!!

ADORABLE! :woot:

I love these guys in their tiny vehicles. Very cute!
The blue spots add to lot to the total vibe.

Great work

Grrr, !mrahil

Those clanker tankers are adorable :D

They really are.

I love the detail that the crew weapons are strapped to the top of the hatch there. Nice detail.

Thank you all. I already have two with closed hatches and they felt little empty, so I was wondering what to put there. If I ever make another one, I'll probably hang couple of backpacks somewhere. :)

I have new display case! This time child proof (read high enough). :D
I had to pack about 1/5 of displayed models as new one is smaller, but I can live with that, packed ones are mostly skinks, saurus and tau pathfinders and bunch of drones, so nothing major.
Old display cabinet is now just regular shelving unit with top shelf for my unfinished models.

Taunar (when finished) will be on top catching dust, as it would take up more than half the height. :D

More than full week without model post! Darn...

But soon, there will be plenty. I have finished Von Ryan´s Leapers (only tufts on bases are missing), Hormagauns are only missing highlights and most importantly! Feathered serpent entry is almost done!

Feathered serpent is here.

I found these beautiful sculpts from Warp miniatures and immediately thought that I always wanted to paint some of old metal saurus, but couldn't find them for reasonable price to just paint for fun.

It was basically first time I did freehand pattern over whole mini, trying to mimic varanus giganteus.

It came out okay. On some parts of minis, it looks almost like gaps between scales on modern saurus, which I wasn't going for, but in this scale... :D

Nids do seem one of those factions that can easily burn somebody out...

But good work on those nids!
