And some 40k thing (didn't @Scalenex say he was getting into Astra Militarum?) ...

Skaven are great as always... I thought it'd be a Skryre warband this time given that we have previously seen Warlord Clans, Clan Eshin and Clan Pestilens warbands in the past. The little mini-Doomwheel would be fun as an alternative Doom Flayer sculpt, the new Warlock sculpt is great (though I already have a Warlock Engineer... not sure if I need another one) and the Bomb-Rat is fun (and especially spooky after I had completed the first draft of my Skaven Arcane Journal for TOW not long ago, which added Bomb Rats based on the Necromunda models as one of several new units to play around with).

Stormcast are boring non-entities as always.

And I couldn't care less about Ratlings... I've just never liked either version of Warhammer Hobbit parody.

So the Bronze winning entry for TOW was a Mazdamundi conversion. If I'm not mistaken, it's kind of contradicting their stance of not allowing legacy factions at GW events, at least in spirit.

Perhaps there's hope, then, that in time they'll change their view on the 'Legacy' factions... most likely once they've released the big 9 and got some campaign books and stuff out. Everyone wants them back with full support, they'd be daft not to see it.

That is one ugly guy!

I'm not sure if everybody wants them back with full support... but I sure would!

Near-as-damn-it everyone does, because they were always part of Fantasy in the past, and still very much exist in the TOW era.

@NIGHTBRINGER always fighting on behalf of 8th.

I wouldn't expect anything less of him, and certainly he's entitled to his opinions.

However, the clear majority of the Fantasy playerbase has had their say in choosing to move on to TOW, and the small minority he is part of will continue to decrease.

The majority of "fantasy" players play AoS.

If by fantasy you are specifically speaking in regards to WHFB/TOW players, then it's fairly true. But TOW isn't some huge big time seller either. On EEFL the difference between the 8th edition subforums and the TOW subforums (when discounting rumor threads) is not all that pronounced. I'd concede a slight advantage to TOW, but not as much as I would have expected.

and the small minority he is part of will continue to decrease.
That's true.

Keep in mind though, if GW doesn't change course on their TOW Legacy Armies plan, you'll see TOW content on places like Lustria Online crater once the legacy armies are slowly made obsolete.
