Alack, my 100% success rate at guessing what models you make bases for has been broken! :D

Am I allowed a second guess?

If so, then perhaps it's a 50mm base rather than a 40mm base...

In which case, is it a base for a member of your prodigious Slann collection?

Some very nice River Trolls, but... if you're going to make them as Chaos Trolls, where are the mutations? Otherwise their non-Chaotic brothers will be scratching their heads as to why they've joined the other team (though given that Trolls probably scratch their heads over most things, they'd probably think that even with the mutations) ;)

While your idea is definitely lore accurate, I've decided to forgo adding mutations for a couple of reasons:
  • aesthetically, I'm not that fond of random mutations on models. This is the reason why I never (and would never) buy the Chaos Forsaken kit. I prefer a cleaner look in my Warriors of Chaos army. So I'm sacrificing some lore accuracy to personal subjective aesthetic taste.
  • sculpting mutations onto an entire hoard of models would be extremely time intensive
  • the idea around my hoard will be that all trolls, of all types, answer the call of Throgg, the troll king.
