Hmm, bigger base this time, looks like a Chaos model again with Chaotic symbols and a severed Bretonnian head :( on it, though I'm intrigued by the hole in it - the base must be for a flyer again, but the hole isn't in the centre as it should really be for a flyer. Perhaps it's a model traversing land then instead, with the hole being for a pin in the rear-right foot to adhere it to the base without having to contend with sticking it to the sand.

The well-made wooden Khorne symbol and the Monstrous Cavalry nature of the base suggest to me that it's a Mark of Khorne Exalted Hero on Juggernaut, as featured in your Daemon Prince/Throgg Troll army cheese list a while back, intended to lead a unit of Skullcrushers.

The start of something new (without having finished any of the previous projects :p). This time around some Slaanesh Chaos Warriors. Admittedly, I only ever field my Chaos Warriors with either the Mark of Nurgle or the Mark of Tzeentch, but I like the Slaanesh theme and I have an unusual paint scheme in mind (which knowing me I may never get to). We don't play WYSIWYG anyways, so these guys will be able to stand in for my Hand Weapon & Shield Tzeentch Chaos Warriors (less the standard bearer of course).

Anyways, here are the first three with their fancy Roman style headdresses and a Slaanesh standard.

Just finished painting up my 2023 haul... four whole miniatures!! :oops:. I wanted to post pictures before New Years, but we're going out to dinner soon. I want to setup my new backdrop for the pictures.

Work on my big project has also been steadily moving along. A major Ebay rescue with lots of greenstuff repair work required. Almost ready to start painting it, but there a few things that still need some work.
 
Trying to take pictures of miniatures is rage inducing. :mad:

I can never manage to take a picture that is representative of the actual model in real life. Tripod... no luck. Lightbox... no luck. Special black backdrop... no luck.


Maybe better luck tomorrow. At this stage, my phone is dangerously close to being hurled across the room. Enough photography for now. Time to boot up the old PS5 and forget about miniature painting and photography.

You give me too much credit. This is one of the four models I painted last year. :oops:

As promised, here are the rest of the models I had painted. This time around we have 3 infernal guard, one of which is the unit champion...

Awesome! Great work man, I love the colorscheme and the additions of lava cracks.
The shield adds a great smooth coloring to the unit.

A more jungle-themed one this time, but it's a 40mm one so there's not many Lizardmen units it could work for. Could be a Kroxigor or Nakai conversion, but there's not much room for him to stand with all those plants.

But what is this? I see a hole in the centre of the base, a hole fit for a flying stand.

All right, my guess is a Skink Chief on Terradon or Ripperdactyl, then.
