I can't like this video enough. The voice acting alone, chef's kiss.

Fun YouTube video of most of the AtLA voice actors reunited at a con (minus Dee Bradley Baker & Mark Hamill). Taking questions and talking about the show. Good times!

It is confirmed that the original creators of Avatar the Last Air Bender and Legend of Korra are releasing a sequel series in 2025 which will be on Paramount Plus. It will feature the Earth bending Avatar born after Korra after Korra dies.

They have not revealed the name and whether the next Avatar will be male or female. This is official.

Animated movies in the Avatar universe are in the pipeline. It is not clear what these movies will be about. There are credible rumors that these movies might involve Avatar Kiyoshi, an older Korra, or a Zuko centric movie between ATLA and LoK, or a movie featuring the entire ATLA Gaang as young adults.

I am looking forward to whatever the original creators produce. I liked Legend of Korra almost as much as ATLA, so even if the new stuff is not quite as good as the original I expect it will still be much better than most of the recent media we have been getting from other sources.

I figure it is a 90% chance it will be good. My plan is to avoid spoilers and watch the new stuff on Paramount Plus as soon as its available.

As for the Netflix live action show, the trailer looks really good, but I'm leery about the fact that the original Avatar creators walked away from the project for an unspecified reason.

I figure it's a 50% chance it will be good. My plan is to check via reviewers I trust before subscribing to Netflix and watching the show.

As I said, I will immediately subscribe to Netflix and binge watch it within 72 hours.

So I started watching the live action Avatar show.

I am two episodes in and I enjoy it so far. My nitpicks are minor and the casting is very good, especially Sokka.

The bending effects are very good, especially the water. That has to be extra hard for CGI to portray realistically.

I am not sure if I would enjoy it if this was my first Avatar experience though. My friend's wife normally avoids animated shows (including ATLA) and seems to be enjoying the live action Avatar.
