I HAVE THE POWER!!! (in terms of forum milestones)

Indeed it is extremely rare when positions in the top 3 change hands.

Which has me wondering, how many people have ever held the top spot? For a long while it has been exclusively me. Before me it was @n810. Before him I'm guessing it was @strewart. But what about before him? Was @strewart the first person to reign over the leaderboard or were there others that predate him? And if so, how many others?

How old is this forum anyways?

Maybe @Scalenex knows? Or somebody else?

Or maybe the answers to these questions have been lost to the ravages of time :p

That is a challenge set.
The "Carbon dating the web" page gives us a approximate creation date:

With the Wayback Machine we can even visit the version of that date

Different look but same feel ;)

Wow, I've entered a portal into a bygone age. I recognise hardly any of the members, obviously they didn't join this new one when the server moved. I certainly prefer the current version by a long way, Xenforo is easily the best forum software around. Though you have to buy it, you're paying for high-quality stuff.

@NIGHTBRINGER will appreciate the fact that even in those days there was a Tomb King thread:

I think I have even found our Old One:

The forum supposedly is a continuation of a discussion on the blog of this Sammy the Squib/Stonehambey.
And with 798 posts it is fair to say he was the first leader of the list ;)

Grrr, Imrahil

I wonder why he had two different names/profiles? And I wonder if he will ever return? @strewart did for a little while (though he didn't post) and of course @Bowser's back, so it's possible.

Well, i cannot compete with his posting rate so it's just really a matter of time.
So, at most i need to target the good @Aginor to keep the podium. :p

There is no competition between the Three Tomb Kings. There is only the overall subjugation to Khemri of the rest of the populace. ;)

(And a nurturing of a secret cult of Hashut, right Nightbringer?)

Great bit of detective work. You've earned a gold star for today!!

Since I'm all out of golden stars, have a golden Chaos Dwarf instead...

Upon inspecting further I have found members joining the forum on the 10th of March 2008
Which puts @strewart 's March 26, 2008 join date fairly close to the mark.

Excellent!

So the top of the leaderboard changed hands like this...

  • Sammy the Squib/Stonehambey
  • ??? (possibly, although it might have gone straight from Sammy to strewart)
  • strewart
  • n810
  • NIGHTBRINGER
  • ???

Settra does not serve!

But there is competition between Chaos Dwarf generals and generals who do not bear loyalty to Chaos Dwarfs. So go grab that second place spot! ;)

Thank you kindly, I will cherish and polish him every day ;)

I think it would be a correct assumption that Steward take the crown from Sammy directly.

The fun thing is that the Wayback Machine website lets you pick more points along the timeline to visit the chosen website.
So we could determine if that was indeed the case.
