I HAVE THE POWER!!! (in terms of forum milestones)

For likes it is even worse... the total top 10 combined isn't enough to outweigh @NIGHTBRINGER 's amount of likes.

Grrr, Imrahil
Speaking of likes, a new milestone achieved:

There's no denying that you post quality content a lot of the time, what would I be if I didn't reward such content?

(And it has no bearing on the fact that I aim to challenge @Bowser in the Likebringer contest - there certainly should be a measure for 'Likes given' as well as 'Likes received, generosity should be rewarded with prestige)

A typical meme post will get 2 to 4 likes. That's about the same I get for a tactica I spent hours working on :(

A painted model will probably get you 3 to 5 likes if you are a beginner or like me, not a beginner but perpetually at a beginner's level. An exceptionally well painted or clever conversion get push a post into the double digits likes. The best way to get likes for painting is to make updates at least twice a month. That means you will get some people subscribing to your thread to consistently give you like and it pushes your painting blog towards the top of the queue which occasionally attracts a new viewer who will politely like every article from page one forward.

But make about 50+ memes in the time it takes to paint one model or post 200+ memes that other people made in said that you found on an internet.

I think the mark of greatness is a single post with lots of likes. Case in point, Mrs. Nightbringer's cakes tend to be among the most liked posts comparable to the very best painting posts.

I am addicted to social media like most of my generation even though L-O is 90% of my social media so I get a tiny dopamine hit when someone likes a meme that I have posted. I get a slightly bigger dopamine hit when someone likes my promotional threads for the contest or when someone likes a meme that I have originated. I get a slightly bigger dopamine hit when someone likes something on my Scarterra thread or likes one of my old tacticas and I get the biggest dopamine hits when someone likes one of my works of fiction and then leaves a comment with constructive criticism.

Course I really need to get a dog because petting a dog is a great way to get dopamine fixes all day long, but my current situation does not allow me to get a dog at this time.

Then I could theoretically post pictures of my dog on the "Canine lizards" thread @Lizards of Renown created.

I never knew how empty my life was before getting a dog.

(No honey, I didn’t mean it that way. No please don’t be mad. I love you just as much as the dog. Please don’t lock me outs- [slam] ;) )

I say lets try it, although the gap is big....

Big... but a continually diminishing gab! A difficult hill to climb, but a fun challenge.

(if you do make the top 3 though, I would ask that you start either a Chaos Dwarf or Tomb Kings army ;)... let's not thwart NIGHTBRINGER's grand schemes :D)

a CD general as you must have big ambitions.

Or Tomb Kings.

Settra rules, he doesn't come in 4th place! ;)

Congrats to @Imrahil and may your content continue to flow forth on the website!

Might I remind you of my small detachment of skeletons

You know, now I am even more inclined to sell my Tomb Kings ;)

Grrr, Imrahil

Don't do that, whatever you do, you'll definitely regret it afterwards when you see the EBay pirates fighting over and dissecting your collection like vultures on a carcass.

A Tomb Kings army is for life, not just for Christmas.

What if he sells them to you?

Interesting prospect. I do hope to at some point squeeze a Tomb Kings force into my collection if I can manage it...

...but to be honest, there are too many of the old 6th Edition GW Skeletons there. I could always steal the shields to use on another range's skeletons, but I couldn't take just those and the newer models away from a fine GW collection. Not to mention that though the army @Imrahil has built is a nice starter, the range is still OOP and I'd have to look elsewhere for additional models from the GW range that are most likely either going to be expensive as the Pirates of the Ebayibbean ramp up their prices or impossibly hard to find.

For my Tomb Kings legion I'd prefer to make a clean break and invest fully into a range with newer models that is affordable, high-quality and with an option for everything in the GW list.
