What are you doing today hobbywise?

they are not at skellies' level, but also those wolves come with an excessive amount of pieces to be glued together (65? 66?), especially considering that they are strictly monopose
I wasn't terribly bothered by the number of parts for them, or when I was building up two of the newer dire wolves to be used as doomwolves. At most they're 7-6 parts each.

Then again, I had about 19 of the old dire wolf models dropped in my lap not too long ago, which spared me from having to build two kits worth of them apart from rebasing to the small ovals.

Bought a big job lot on Friday at one of my favourite independent retailers, which amounted to:
  • A Doombull/Gorebull, BNIB with square base, metal
  • 8 Chaos Space Marines, some painted badly, others unpainted, to take my 3 ordinary Marine squads up to 10
  • 3 Warhammer Fantasy movement trays, one broken but repairable
  • 2 more 4th Edition High Elf archers to take my unit up to 24
  • 5 4th Edition Night Goblins with bows to take my unit up to 28
  • A collection of sprues, including ones from the Necron Immortal and Gripping Beast Dark Age Warriors kits
  • 2 Mordor Orcs, without weapons, to kitbash into Captains to satisfy the gods-awful Warband army building rules the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game still follows
  • Myriad other bits and pieces
Cost me £50 in total, but it was worth it to find a Doombull with Fantasy 40mm base and 8 of the old-style Chaos Marines to fit my army.

I spent last week with my parents outside of Columbus, OH and I went into a gamestore at their local mall one day. They had a rack full of metal WHFB miniatures from 10-20+ years ago. I picked up this beauty and would have probably dropped for a bunch more if I'd had money available.

They had a skink cold one rider and a couple skinks with bows, but that was it for lizardmen. I think I also saw a bunch of demons, mostly Khorne and Slaanesh, some Kislevite horse archers, an Albion truthseeker, and a few other things. They were $15 each, so pricey, but not bad.

Trying to build my Magma Cannon... Bit more complicated that I thought it would be...

Waiting for my Chaos Dwarfs to arrive from Oz...

Ordered a mystery box of miniatures, was hoping they would include more of the beasts and such from their collection but got told no, they can't. Strange as they hand pick them unless this one is more specific. Well does defeat the mystery purpose but I tend to like monsters and beasts more.
Well looking forward to it anyway, love mystery boxes and will share what I got when I receive it.

Work on Vulkan continues!

Despite not having touched any metallic paint yet for this model, the Nuln Oil had been doing wonders in both darkening the Mechanicus Standard Grey I've been predominantly using at this stage and giving a nice "cast iron" sheen to it as well. It even looks good on Vulkan's dome, which is also the only sub-assembly that's finished and awaiting the main body to likewise be done (eyes were done delicately with Evil Sunz Scarlet, and his barred teeth White Scar tinged with a little Reikland Fleshshade).

I didn't have enough money in me to buy it. Hopefully, it'll be there when I go back next time. It's not like anyone has bought it in the last 15 years...

only because i live in a different country! :p

I remember wandering a shopping mall in Bangkok when on holiday a few years ago. Found a games store and they had 6 of these going cheap. Needless to say I bought all 6.

Received the Mystery box a few days ago, really happy with one model as it's based on one game I play. Also a voucher for next purchase, I do have my eye on a few models.
And yeeeahh, one is missing a foot, they offer replacements but I really can't be bothered plus the box does equal to free models so not complaining too much.
Got plans to make small diorama pieces to practice with basing materials and such, whenever I find the time and effort.
